@rrhoover This is awesome, Ryan. I'd love to learn more how you guys are using it as a team. We have an extensive roadmap ahead and I'd love to include your feedback so the product is better for you.
I used to be a big Spark user, the UI turned me off, but this might turn me back!
Any shot we'll get Read Receipts anytime? It's my core reason for using AirMail, and I'm sure a lot of others see the value in it!
Otherwise @denzhadanov looks great!
@denzhadanov@justin_rockmore I love spark feature wise, BUT... for read receipts. Unfortunately, it's not something they're doing well, I tried the Beta version and the implementation was a pain. Hope to see them innovate on read receipts, and just give those who wish to use them the option for privacy, like WhatsApp does.
@denzhadanov@justin_rockmore heard about it, didn't try it as I wasn't convinced they had the (almost) full feature set that Spark has. Will have another look.
Four years ago, we've embarked on a ambitious journey - create the best email experience for professionals and their teams.
But what's best? We believe that email experience can be effortless, beauitufl and collaborative. That's why the tagline for Spark is "love your email again".
Inbox is where we spend time, make deals, create things and move business forward - so why do we have to experiece bad emotions while there?
The new Spark is set to bring even move positive experience, and the all-new slick design.
So here's whats' new:
- Slick New Design
- Dark Mode
- Inbox with Avatars
- Customize Email Actions
- Open multiple windows on iPad
We'd love to hear your feedback, especially if you have a team that lives by the inbox, or if you have an assistant.
@denzhadanov congratulation on the release! 2 questions
1) when would Mac app follow suit?
2) as of now avatars are displayed only for domains sourced from clearbit. when will you pick up Gmail avatars directly?
So far so good. I was using Spark before but I hated the UI, plus Spark hates firewalls so it was tricky. I just redownloaded the upgraded app and so far I really like it. I mainly use Cloze but hate their UI, so I also use Spike... going to compare the two and see how i make out
I used to be an avid user. Changed over to Spike for a lot more speed and voice options.
Very similar elsewhere though, but not enough to bring me back.
Great update! Avatars make it just that little bit quicker to search through older emails. you guys are the perfect email client. Hoping you add a per user view, ie, clicking on a user allows us to see the previous history of emails with them and/or shared media
Have spark resolved all the privacy issues we raised in the past? Put aside what you published in the terms of use, do you read our emails and see our passwords, do you keep our emails on your servers?
@ni_e_sha@mohammedalrozzi I want to assure you that we take your privacy seriously, and Spark is fully GDPR compliant.
We do not rent, sell or share your personal data with any third parties.
In case you aren’t using features which require Spark Services (such as Teams, Shared Threads, Shared Drafts, Delegation, etc), the content of your emails is stored on the server of your email provider. The only one thing is that to compose and send you notifications, we sync the subject and a part of your message, encrypt this information and store it on our secure servers. Please note that the encryption key is saved locally on your device, so only you have access to it. This encrypted information is deleted from our servers in 4 hours after the push message has been prepared and sent as there is no need to keep it longer.
In case you have any questions, our Data Privacy Specialist is always glad to assist you, so feel free to contact us via dpo@readdle.com.
@ni_e_sha@readdle@denzhadanov What is your business model then? do you process people's data (at least using algorithms) while in the server, in the meantime and benefit from these data?
I really like the UI, just transferred all my email accounts over today. It would be my new primary email app, buttttt....
The one thing that really really really bugs me is when I try to swipe to go back to the inbox, it swipes to the previous message and marks it as read and I just can't deal with that.
Other than that, everything is great and I love the integrations. Good work guys!
@alecdewitz Hi Alec, this is the philosophy behind Smart Inbox. Once you've opened an email, you decide what to do with it at that moment - archive, reply, delete, delegate, and never come back to it again. If I want to get back to this email, I usually snooze it or pin it.
Just checked and the update isn't yet available on my iPhone.
I've been using Spark for the last year, after looking for better productivity features - like send later, delegate, open threads on email. Spark is just awesome and I'm a customer for life. :)
I see this doesn't have a desktop client. For those of you that use this, how do you manage having a different UI/organization for your email between desktop to mobile. I would consider using it if there was a Mac app. I'm currently using Apple Mail.
@adigold1@denzhadanov tried the beta version, the implementation of it could be done better. I hope you guys introduce it more elegantly... it should be part of the email header section.
I've emailed Spark's support about 7 times to ask why the search function is completely broken on both mobile AND desktop, they've blown me off multiple times without even responding. The one time I got through they weren't of any help. So sad! I loved the product for months, but not having search work reliably (80% fail rate) is a HUGE mishap. I turned to Superhuman and there's been no turning back now
@mikeyahdoot Sorry to hear that Michael. We are dealings with thousands of email from our users and yours might've slipped through. Could you please let me know which email address you've used and I'll follow up with our support team ?
I am using it many months now and indeed logo is true. I am loving it creating emails again. I started using it cause it was the easiest way to have both gmail and custom domain under one roof. I like the simplicity of changing signatures. The newly Dark mode could be done better. It's lightweight and it works very good on Android.
Cons: I would like to make labels easier. Like I do in Gmail.
Spark is one of the most usable and affordable mail client, ever.
When I discovered it, it was love at first sight. I love being able to manage all my communications using only one account to store all my data there.
And it improves with each update, always adding useful and practical features.
BIG UP FOR SPARK!
I like the UI and especially like the snooze and the timed delivery features. I use both the desktop and the mobile app and find the synching works well. I also like that I can keep track of both business and personal accounts.
