Hey guys! I'm the guy who crafted this little masterpiece.. If you have any feedback or questions – let me know. I'll be sure to answer em' ASAP.
Clarence Bethea
@quser looking forward to using this! I get sick and tired of not being able to move my music where I want.
Haroun Hickman
@quser great job - I've been on the lookout for something like this for a while
Sergey Kudryashov ✈️
@clarence_bethea I feel ya! By any chance, are you a fan of high-res music in formats such as FLAC, CUE, OGG?
 Julia Petrus
@quser congrats on the app, Sergey! I love the way you can drop a .cue file into Waltr and it cuts it into separate songs)))
Sergey Kudryashov ✈️
@harounhickman @petrus_julia Thanks! It's something I was on the lookout for also. My hate for iTunes sync grew..and grew... Then I simply couldn't wait any longer and decided to make my own solution. :)
Jack Smith
anything that removes the need to open itunes sounds good to me
Sergey Kudryashov ✈️
@_jacksmith for sure, Jack. I mean...Apple just made too much out of iTunes – it's a store, it's your device manage.. AND it's a music player. Too much.
Kostas Xiradakis
@quser @_jacksmith That's their most important asset imo. The way the integrated iTunes with our lives and the way that iTunes acted as an umbrella service for all of their services was something unique, especially when iTunes was first launched (2003)
Matt
OMG the on-boarding video is amazing! The video alone sold me haha.
Sergey Kudryashov ✈️
@mzuvella Thanks, Matt :) hah, it was def something we wanted to stand out on. It may be a bit cheesy... We also spent lots of time with the main video – Did you like it? It includes a Star Warish theme – where the whole idea is to show the real emotions that users get while using WALTR. It's so simple and straight forward that you don't even expect an app to be like it(in its category).
Jonathan Tzou
@mzuvella I second this.
Sergey Kudryashov ✈️
@jtzou Jonathan – thank you. This was something new on Mac apps and we were worried if users are going to like it or not. The regular on-boarding images are boring now, so we had to put an end to this.

@mzuvella Lol exactly how I felt! Good job on the onboarding @quser

Easily upload MKV, AVI, MP4 videos to any iOS device without having to convert the files before hand. You can also upload Music in any format, such as CUE, FLAC, APE, ALAC, OGG, AAC, AIFF, WAV & more. Just drag & drop media files into the device. That’s it! You can access AVI, MKV, FLAC files directly from the native iOS player.

@kwdinc Thank you, Kevin! And this is the very famous app that discovered 4K video playback on iPhone 6 A8 chip :)

I like it, but $30 seems a bit too much for the problem they solve..
Josh
@pascualin Thanks for the feedback. The price may seem a bit high, but it does save a good amount of time in the long run. In any case, you can get a chunky discount from the special Product Hunt discount page that we've made: http://softorino.com/waltr/landi...
Ignacio Martín
@joshsoftorino I see, well, thanks for the discount offer. I'd have a question though: knowing how strict Apple can be, and how much they push for users to use iTunes, I wonder how have you managed to go around it. Obviously I won't ask you to disclose your technical secrets, but I wonder if Apple might change his mind and block the way you go around iTunes at some point in the future. Are you somehow partnering with them to guarantee that this won't happen?
Josh
@pascualin It's a popular question :) As you know, iOS is the most locked & encrypted operating system in the World… Well we’ve spent the last 2 years figuring out how exactly it works with its media files. All of our time and money were invested into this research. As a result – we created a unique technology that allows us to bypass all ‘barriers’, which set your iPhone free of any restrictions. This technology includes very ‘low level’ coding and this makes it even more reliable. And on top of that, using WALTR does not violate any Apple’s device warranty or user license agreements. Therefore, Apple cannot restrict anybody from using an alternate way to put media files on their devices. WALTR is the smartest bypass ever made because NO changes are made to both iOS device (unlike Jailbreak) & OS X. plus, no laws or agreements are violated. P.S. Even if there’s an update for iOS/OS X/iTunes, we’ll make WALTR work in the shortest time possible. Therefore, we commit to provide a secure experience for you.

@joshsoftorino thanks for the clarification :)

Love the product. Just purchased a license through the link that came up in the app (in the video). Didn't receive a confirmation or a license. Little help?
Sergey Kudryashov ✈️
@goeric thanks for the feedback, Eric. I just checked our database and it seems like you didn't receive a confirmation email because you mad a typo in the email field :( ...but no need to worry though – I'm about to change it for ya and resend the confirmation email.
Eric Posen
@quser Sorry about that! My mistake then. I paid full price so keep the extra 20% as my gratitude :)
Sergey Kudryashov ✈️
@goeric hey, it happens to the best of us! You simply missed the 'o' in .com :)
Eric Posen
@quser I did, thanks :)
Lasse Clausen
I do like it, but find $30 a bit steep considering that it's just an incremental improvement over iTunes & VLC.
Sergey Kudryashov ✈️
@lalleclausen we have many discounts and promos coming up.. so you may stay tuned and grab it at a more convenient price for you :)

Any idea of when it'll launch?
Sergey Kudryashov ✈️
@andrewwarner it's now LIVE :) you may download it from our product page softorino.com/waltr

Great app! This has saved so much time and frustration.
Kurt Walker
Nicely done. Any way to build playlists since we are no longer using iTunes? 30 bucks seems really steep for this app. Unless you are into video or something my guess is that is far too expensive. I would think the masses would be more apt to pay 5 to 10 bucks. Cool app though, can tell you have spent a lot of time on it.
Josh
@kurtwalker playlists are planned for the next HUUUGE update :) In regards to 30 bucks.. well it may seem like a big price but that's only because the simplicity of WALTR may deceive you. In other words, people are used to paying more money if a product has all these buttons, features and a bloated interface (a.k.a. the way it was back in 2007). We can do everything that all the converters out there are doing, but we do more, and we do it faster and easier. And all this was hidden under the hood. On the surface, you just see a black drop-zone box that eats anything you throw at it. As a result, you will save a lot of time in the long run by using WALTR, whether its transferring music, videos or ringtones. Therefore – 30$ is what we think is a good price for it. P.S. but I can hook you up and any product hunter here with a juicy 35% discount. Just tweet me if you or any of your friends are buying a license :D
Sam Christie
the onboarding on this is super awesome
Josh
@samchristie Thank you, Sam!!! We have a plan to re-master the onboarding and make it more fresh, since it's been a while now.
Margaritis Malioris
It might be fair to provide pricing before starting the process!

Can i use Waltr to sync my music with iOS devices? I have lots of flacs, let's say i dropped them into Waltr (btw, do i have the option of selecting desired encoding parameters, like kbs, channels, etc?) and have them transfered to iOS. Later i might add some more albums, change some track tags, whatever, how do i make sure, that i only sync the new and changed tracks and not the whole library again?
Rahul Mantri
I think you have a winner here Waltr. WOW!

im a little late to the party, any current coupons?
