@rrhoover can't say this was unexpected. Seemed like a foregone conclusion the second you signed up for your second Slack team or integrated your first App or Bot with them. And totally agree about the social graph, or as some have said, THE professional social graph(s). When people ask me what's so special about it, I just bring up the multiple examples of interacting with top SMEs on the fastest growing industries from leading orgs and companies by just saying hi, in a casual and private atmosphere.
Add to that the ability to authenticate with multiple teams and different creds from the same interface on any device, well, how can you beat that? It's the product. A damn good product. (The people there aren't so bad either!)
This is incredible, most agencies are using slack and other software/web products., signing up with slack would make life easier.., #slack

I can't tell you how many nights I woke up in a cold sweat, clutching my Apple Mouse, crying out loud, "Why can't I authenticate with Slack? I authenticate everything into Slack, but they just take, take, take. I, no, we are building our lives around Slack. We're even bringing our bots too. Why don't they just take my info, and give me a token? Then they can have all of me. ALL OF ME!" So yeah, I'm happy.
On the serious tip... If this saves my future users one less step with authenticating a 3rd party API/service with my 3rd party Slackbot(s), making that process more seamless, well, I'm going to fly out there to a MeetUp to hug people.
I still want to know where slack stands on free communities. Lots of ideas for this, but if they shut down large free communities like they have been then this limits what you can do. I would love to see them support large free communities :).
This is a great move by @slack - They are doing a great job creating a platform that lends itself to becoming a place where people live.
I love that I can use it to communicate with my team, order a lyft, start a hangout, import a feed of the social posts I care about, and even use it as a real-time marketo alert platform.

Sign-in with Slack is a great feature, and we're proud to have partnered with them for the feature launch. It enables us a http://www.smooz.io to offer a shared workspace between two slack teams, including shared channel and todo list
Evaluated slack to use for my support channel, but had to ditch it because the free version was to limited and I am not VC backed. I am using Gitter now and are very happy with it. It is free, has a sign-in button, well integrated with GitHub and what not. Still I give slack sign in my upvote for the effort they put into the service! Good work! Keep it up! :-).
When Auth0 integrate sign in with Slack in their social connections I will be considering swapping it in for one of Facebook or Twitter log-in. How many people have Slack, Twitter, Facebook or GitHub accounts?
Slack has definitely been trying to target more than just messaging. It's becoming more and more ubiquitous in big business.

The way email is set up we haven't had a way to do any form of single sign-on with internal applications that we develop. Slack is used by the entire company and will now allow us to eliminate the need for multiple accounts.
Very cool, because no devs that I know use LinkedIn sign in anyway. Props to @slackhq
