Hey everybody! ๐Ÿ‘‹ We're happy to launch shareableURL.com today via producthunt! Let's chat, click the following link to join our meeting room: meetingURL.com/chat-with-the-team ShareableURL.com is a URL shortener like tinyURL.com or Bit.ly. However, unlike other URL shorteners, ShareableURL.com offers a choice among a variety of descriptive domain names like webinarURL.com, signupURL.com, meetingURL.com, podcastURL.com, songURL.com, and around 30 more! ShareableURL.com started many months ago and it expanded to include many domain names as the world turned online and started sharing more links due to COVID-19. We love feedback, the more critical and direct the better!

@heyitsolivier Hey there! I understand that you are using a pre-page with the 'continue' button as the freemium, and whoever pays won't see it on his links, but I think that you can think of a better freemium without the pre-page. Personally I would rather use one of the million url shorteners out there without a pre page, and settle with a regular url and not a pretty one like yours. It's just needless friction between the users and the destination I'm trying to get them to. Also, the countdown made me think that there is an automatic redirect, when in fact there isn't - make users click a button? and in English? not suited for my users. The idea in general is great, but if you want the free version to actually pull people in to the paid plan, it has to be frictionless. For example, the percentage of users actually paying bit.ly, is maybe 0.5% (totally guessing, could be lower), but it amounts to tremendous amounts of users, because they are so popular due the free service they offer. They would have never made it that big if they had a pre-page, and someone else without the pre-page would have done it and become popular. That's just my opinion btw, I could be totally wrong here. Good luck!

@heyitsolivier @tom_sitton1 Thank you for the feedback Tom! We will reflect on them and come back to you. Kind regards, Olivier

@heyitsolivier @tom_sitton1 Heya Tom, I understand that having a pre-page adds friction, we have it in place right now to let people know that they are being redirected, to prevent scammers from using shareableURL.com to trick people into visiting scammy sites. We will look for a work around to keep it safe to use, while also reducing the friction. Thanks Tom!
