Hello Product Hunt! ๐Ÿ– This is Igor, Cofounder of PR-CY. My grandma often asked me to look at websites and explain if they were scammers or not. She wanted to make sure that she wouldn't get scammed or have her bank information stolen. I wanted to help her check online stores as during our work on pr-cy.io, we accumulated a lot of helpful information about this. So we have made a free online PR-CY Trust Checker. Warning: PR-CY is not responsible for the checked websites. Scammers are getting increasingly sophisticated, and honest sellers can make mistakes that trigger false positive alerts.

Wonderful Checker. But phrase "The domain was registered 18 years ago, which is very recently, so use it with caution." a little bit confusing :)

@isuvorov oops, mistake. Thanks, we'll fix it.

@isuvorov @prcyru Yep, I got the same for a 24 year old domain! Also, it didn't find a facebook or twitter account connected to this domain. Also, got a score of 0 for the Google elements even though they were green.
Igor
@isuvorov @pointandstare Thank you. Fixed.

Have you considered making it into a browser plugin? Maybe have a traffic light system always running on the toolbar and the user can click it to get a pop-up with more details. Cool tool tho!

@eptrois777 First we want to fine-tune the work. After that we will make a chrome extension.

no longer works, each site entered just ticks down the 5 checks, to 4, then 3, all the way down to 0 left and asks you to create an account but has never once given you any indication that it actually works yet. Funny how it proves you can't "trust" even this site
