Finding early users for niche tools — any tips?
Hey folks 👋
I’ve been building ResonanceX — a podcast analytics platform to help creators understand traffic, listener behavior, and campaign performance. Since Chartable shut down, there’s been a noticeable gap, especially for indie podcasters trying to grow.
I’m in early access and looking to involve more podcasters — but it’s been tricky to connect with them directly.
Would love to hear:
• How have you successfully reached niche creators or communities early on?
• Any platforms or strategies that helped you spark conversations or build trust?
• Has anything not worked that you’d avoid?
Curious to learn what worked for you when trying to get those early signals — especially if you’ve built something for creators or a very specific audience.
Happy to share what I’ve tried so far too if it helps (Reddit, cold emails, Discord, Instagram, etc.) 👇
Thanks in advance 🙌

I've been DM'ing people on Reddit that write posts on struggling with technical interviews (the problem the tool I'm building is solving) and have seen quite good engagement out of that actually!
For your use case, you could actually try LinkedIn too - especially if it's industry-related podcasts (e.g. the Acquired podcast, they're a big fish but they're also very active on LinkedIn)
@fabbock That’s really helpful. I’ve been trying Reddit DMs too, but hadn’t thought of LinkedIn as a place to reach podcasters. Definitely going to take your advice and explore that angle, especially for more niche or industry-focused shows.
Appreciate you sharing what’s worked for you. Would love to stay in touch and swap learnings along the way! 🙌
@fabbock Love that! Let’s definitely stay in touch , would be great to connect when the time’s right. Appreciate the good energy 🙌
