I really hope this works. Just authenticated with Facebook and Twitter, now waiting 20 minutes for my report. Funny, they charge $9.99 if you want to skip the queue to avoid the wait. EDIT: I received my results and was met with a smile and frustration. The good part: Scrubber has a sense of humor. It knows I went to Vegas a few years ago, and says, "We found 1 items geotagged in Vegas. That's all we're gonna say about that." It also appears that it might have some utility, reporting "NSFW" photos. Thankfully it found none ("We did not flag any pics in your history as NSFW") although I'm curious how it's determining this. The frustrating part is that it charges $9.99 to view any of the details of questionable content. This wasn't made clear upfront when I requested the report. They might make users happier and drive higher conversion if Scrubber revealed some of the non-PC posts before asking for money.

@rrhoover interesting reaction about the $9.99. I actually jacked up the price on purpose to incentivize sharing. Every user gets a unique referral code, you get upgraded to premium for free if one person uses it to create an account and then run a report. Was that not clear in the UI, or were you just not interested in sharing it? In either case, I know a guy, so I can probably get you upgraded to Premium ;)

@rrhoover oh and to answer the question about NSFW pics: I did investigate building my own tagging algo by downloading a lot of porn and seeing if I could jam it into Google's Prediction API, but ended up using AlchemyAPI's Image tagging service[1]. The phone call with their sales guy was interesting "Yeah, so just in case anybody was wondering, I'm the guy that's been throwing porn at your free endpoint all day" ;) [1] http://www.alchemyapi.com/produc...

@angilly LOL, that's hilarious. GL explaining that one to your wife/girlfriend, if you have one. :) I vaguely remember seeing a CTA to share Scrubber but didn't realize it unlocked the details for free. I've adopted blinders to these messages on the internet.

@rrhoover yeah Kim had a good laugh. Good to know. I have those blinders too, so I totally see where you're coming from. I'll looking into making tweaks to make it more obvious. In the meantime, I talked to my guy, and you've been upgraded ;)

Hi everyone! I'm the guy who built Scrubber. I started it last year at at the Denver Startup Week hackathon, but then it got put on the backburner. I've been asked about it several times in the past few weeks, so I thought I'd polish it up a bit and send if off to the world. I'm excited to share it with you guys. Let me know what you think!

Oh two more things: 1. The reports are taking a lot longer than usual (maybe 20 minutes, but could be an hour). We unexpectedly got picked up by Cosmopolitan.com yesterday, and it slammed us with traffic so we're battling some rate-limits elsewhere. One hell of an experience ;) 2. I'll be here for most of the day, so ask me anything!
