Love the idea, I'm currently having the problem of finding good software to sort out our analytics - GA is not very intuitive and smart, a high learning curve, which is unnecessary if it's just do-able by plain English. let's have a call as I think I'm eager to give feedback and try it out!

If I may, I'd like to propose an enhancement idea that could prove beneficial. Consider implementing an additional connection type allowing your system to request data from 3rd party sources in JSON format. JSON stands as a secure means of data transfer between services. As a developer or system administrator, I personally value the security of data. So I would not like to grant direct database access to 3rd parties, such as MySQL. Best wishes! ;)

Providing integrations with different data sources via rest protocol is definitely something that we are looking into in our next set of features. The idea is exactly what you have mentioned above since in that way our users can get fine-grained control over what to do analysis upon and just open that channel to us and also allow your end user to be able to see their specific data with our user-level access control features. We will keep you posted once we go live with it.
