We spend hours after hours on mobiles. And that can lead to eye problems, bad posture, etc. Solution? Throw your phone away. What the f..or situations like these, experts recommend the 20-20-20 rule. Refresh sends you alerts to follow the same.

Hi πŸ‘‹ there, I'm Rahul Mula, the developer of Refresh. I suffered from πŸ‘οΈ dry eyes and vision loss due to prolonged screen time. The doctor recommended the 20-20-20 rule to prevent the same from happening again. But to my surprise, very little I could find. There were blogs and videos about it but not much to put the same into practice ⏲️. That's when I decided to πŸ—οΈ develop one for myself. I didn't want to create just a simple app that sends πŸ”” system notifications but something more than that... I thought - "How about a blinking eye, chat-like message or even a cat 😺 coming from the edge of the screen to notify me?" While the alerts will be helpful, performing eye exercises will be another plus πŸ’ͺ. I would like to share the quote from the doctor - "You can only run πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ 10 kilometres if you exercise daily, the same goes for your eyes.". Also, why just your eyes πŸ‘€? Your whole body (posture) and mind need to refresh as well. With all these ideas I sat down to develop Refresh (though I figured out the name/logo only a week ago). I also wanted the app to have good no... ✨ Great UI/UX! Like the ones you see nowadays 😁. But I was only half-good as a developer and had $0 to spend so... everything was up to me. The basics of UI design, interactive animations, overlay implementation, etc. I had to learn and implement as I progressed. I learned and failed and learned and failed. Every time my creative side/client thought - "Wouldn't it be cool if the 😼 cat scratched the screen as an alert" and while I imagined and thought "phaking genius 😏", my logical side/developer thought - "...the implementation? 😢..." And here you have it, my simplest thought and your first step towards digital well-being πŸ’«.
