I've already setup hotkeys and Favs to specific notes, so when my weekly design critique starts I can immediately have my notes up! Can't wait to have access to this on more platforms/devices, and I'll fully switch from Google Keep!
Whenever Raycast for Windows happens, GOT to have Notes with that. 🫶

Floating notes were already incredibly helpful for jotting something down, but the care for detail the team have put into making them even more powerful is fantastic.
I keep finding myself trying different note apps just to end up going back to Apple Notes...this might actually make me change though. @nichlaswa do the notes sync to your mobile device or somewhere we can access when not at our Mac?

@bonvisions Notes are stored encrypted, locally with an option to sync them across Macs with an active Pro subscription. You can export notes to Markdown to import in other note-taking apps. For now we don't have plans to sync with other note-taking apps.
This project has been in the making for a while, and a few priorities got in the way of shipping it earlier. But today is the day we finally put it out. I have been testing it for a few months before the release, and I can say I absolutely cannot live without it, It has completely replaced my use of Apple Notes 😁

Great addition. Tot has 7 floating notes. Can you please increase the limit to at least 10? 5 is kinda too low.
@wpgaurav Tot is great! We don't have immediate plans to increase the number of notes but with a Pro subscription you get unlimited notes plus a whole lot more: AI, unlimited clipboard history, custom window management, etc.
I've found the *perfect* note app for me. This is it. Simple, fast, powerful, but not bloated. Can't go back.

Raycast Notes exudes the same bespoke quality that they apply to all their features. It’s fast, powerful, and frictionless.
I've been waiting all year for the pro version of Floating Notes. It's the notes app that I quickly open using a BetterTouchTool finger gesture.* It opens on the right side of my 27" iMac. In the regular version of Floating Notes, I often had notes from several different meetings. I had to copy and paste different notes if I wanted to save them permanently. Now, with the pro version, I can keep separate pages for different topics.
I use another finger gesture to quickly open the Action Panel, which I like for formatting my notes. Floating Notes is not a space for my permanent notes, but it's a place where I can quickly jot down and access notes until I decide where to save them permanently. By the way, Zoom Workplace has a similar floating notes feature that I also use mostly for permanent meeting notes.
My biggest wish for Floating Notes is for Raycast AI to be able to integrate with it.
*My finger gesture trigger also automatically opens the Browse Notes overlay when I first open Floating Notes. I do this because I usually switch between notes when I open Floating Notes. It saves me one less click and keyboard shortcut.

For a moment I was shocked when the “toggle floating notes window” option was suddenly gone this morning. I thought you had killed my favorite feature and deleted my data in the process 😱
You can’t imagine the relief when I saw that it was just replaced by Raycast Notes and my old notes were still there.
Thanks for making one of Raycast’s best features even better!
@maresch Ah yeah, I can feel that shock :D But we took the opportunity to simplify the two commands and combine it into just one. Something we wanted to do for a while. Let us know how you like the new experience!
@thomaspaulmann really enjoying it! Just one piece of feedback so far: I’m not a big markdown user and it took me a while to discover the “Show format buttons” option. I’m glad this option exists but it’s a lot of mouse movement for simple formatting which gets tedious. I guess I could just get used to markdown but having formatting options appear when text is selected would be more intuitive for me.
What's the limit on number of notes? I see that the paid plan has "unlimited notes" but don't see the limit for free plans.
@twistermc Free plan includes 5 notes. With Pro you get unlimited, synced and backed up notes. Plus AI, custom themes, unlimited clipboard history, and a bunch of other enhancements in Raycast itself.
@linda_yanlin Thank you 🫶 Unfortunately, releasing on Google Play is not something we're aiming for at the moment. The first in line would be Windows and iOS before eventually reaching more platforms
Now that I use Raycast for just about everything that I need to do FAST FAST FAST...a quick way to save a fleeting thought is just one more way this sneaky little app has wound its tendrils into my very being...and I'm totally OK with that.
As always, it's done with thought and elegance, which is nice.
