For the last 1.5 years our team has worked really hard to release a new version of Publicize. For Product Hunt users who choose to work with Publicize, we'll provide a $100 discount & 2 free weeks to any company we believe has a 50%+ chance of being featured on the largest publications (we provide free evaluations ahead of time).
Thanks again to everyone for the feedback and support!
@bentossell Thanks a bunch for asking Ben. Publicize is actually a completely new product than it was 1.5+ years ago. For new features, we:
- Launched monthly media opportunities and perks
- Introduced a guest article section (to get featured on publications), which is increasingly important in PR
@rossdcurrie Conrad Egusa can correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the main change here compared to version 1 is the freemium model, with resources available for free to anyone who signs up
For some startup teams, even harder than building a product, is trying to get the word out to build an audience and a user base. Because startups don't have much time, it's tough to engage with a traditional agency. The fact that Publicize has been able to productize this, is really a godsend for startups and small and medium size companies. Great product!
My friend Jonathan used Publicize and got on BusinessInsider. It's good to see new companies helping startups (at least for PR where it's normally so expensive)
Have been looking for a good PR company to work with in the last 2 weeks. Spending a budget on PR is scary for us because we are bootstrapped and your solution makes it more comfortable by (1) tools to educate (2) free to try model. Great job and best of luck!
@sercanlir Sercan many thanks for your comment. What was important to us with Publicize was: #1) to minimize risk for startups (as opposed to a traditional PR firm that costs $10K/month with a 6 month retainer, Publicize's PR Service is as low as $399/month with no retainer, with a 2 week money-back guarantee and up to a 50% refund/month if unhappy, #2) to be 100% transparent with all of our work, and #3) to innovate and advance the frontier in this space.
It's been a lot of work, but every week we aim to keep making our solutions stronger. A year ago we had 7 people on our team, today we have 22 so it provides us with more resources to add value to clients and the community.
Congrats guys, Btw I have used this tool for journalist database. It helped me a lot however unfortunately some of the contacts details I found were outdated
@ericdiepeveen Hi Eric, many thanks for your message. I'm working with the team now to get this solved. They mentioned you may receive a notification to add publicize.co to a white list on adblocker. We're working on this now to find a solution.
Congrats on the launch Conrad.
I remember chatting with you about Spoil. The service was properly set up and your process was nice and clean. I didn't get to actually work with you since the CEO backed out - but now that you've launched a new version, I'm interested to learn how 2.0 is different than 1.0 (though I love the new design).
@eyaltoledano Hi Eyal, thanks for your message. Publicize 2.0 is degrees stronger than 1.0. For our PR Service: it's more affordable and has less risk, we've added a number of new features (ex: monthly media opportunities, perks, & more), and we also have greater resources to provide more value to clients (we have 22 people on the team today, as opposed to 7 when we first launched).
We've been working with Publicize for the last several months and I can't express how pleased we are with the service. This is a top flight organization that is very well run. Right from the start they laid out the roadmap for our PR activities very clearly and executed our plan in a timely fashion. I would definitely recommend this to any startup looking for both guidance and media exposure.
