🌐 Pubky Core is here to lay the foundation for a decentralized, user-owned internet. 🔐 Imagine a protocol where your digital identity is managed through cryptographic keys, routed securely across apps without a central authority. This is PKARR — Public Key Addressable Resource Records. Here's what powers Pubky Core: ✨ PKARR (Public Key Addressable Resource Records): PKARR links your content, identity, and resources directly with your cryptographic keys, ensuring verified ownership and full control. Think of it as your self-sovereign digital address. ⚙️ Mainline DHT Integration: Leveraging the same Distributed Hash Table (DHT) that powers BitTorrent, Pubky enables decentralized data discovery, scalability, and resilience, keeping the network robust and efficient. 🏠 Homeservers: These servers store and serve your data according to your preferences. You can host one yourself or choose a provider, and you’re free to migrate without losing data or connections, ending vendor lock-in for good. 🚀 Join the Revolution: Start your journey with Pubky Core 👩‍💻 Developers: Build the web of tomorrow with our open-source toolkit on GitHub. Seems very similar to ATprotocol, can it handle private data or public only?

@mikestaub Hey, BlueSky is nice with Identity being decentralized but relies on DNS. Pubky is more resilent.

@mikestaub This is a very good observation, it is very much like AT protocol with two main differneces: 1. Pkarr is a true sovereign identity, while did:web and did:plc both depend on a registry that can censor anyone they don't like. Either ICANN or plc consortium (or currently just Bluesky inc.) 2. The Homeserever API is more like S3 or WebDav, whereas AT proto PDSes are more like Mongodb or Firebase. And to answer your question, we already have authorization system (using sessions cookies) so yes we are ready to add private data support and maybe at some point e2e encrypted data too, but the later might be left for application level instead. It is early and you can help us make all these decisions, please join us on Telegram, or Matrix, or check the repo https://github.com/pubky/pubky-core

How does this relate to OpenID Connect?

Congrats on the launch! 🎉 This looks like a game-changer for decentralized identity management. How do you see it being used in real-world apps?
Jacobo
@ihuzaifashoukat Thanks! You can actually see som real-world apps already created during our Hackweek at www.Pubky.org
