I am writing this post to share with new members everything they need to know about Golden Kitty Awards. What are the Golden Kitty Awards? How many winners per category / are there runner-ups? The Golden Kitty Awards is an annual celebration of the products and makers within Product Hunt. It's like the Oscars of the tech world. Each category will have 4 winners (first, second, third, and fourth place). The winners (first place) of each category receive a coveted Golden Kitty Trophy along with fun Product Hunt goodies and a feature on the Hall of Fame, while second, third and fourth place will receive an honorable mention! How can you vote for the Golden Kitty Awards? Voting for all categories will start on January 20th (Monday), and ends on January 24th (Friday), at 12:01 PT. These are for the nominations in each category. Post nominations, there might be another round of voting for picking the winners. If you don't see a product that you'd like to vote for in a particular category, you can also search for and select it at the bottom of the page. Please note, the winners are chosen by the Product Hunt team (mods / jury), however, your votes heavily influence the outcome. Having said that, any inauthentic/irregular voting patterns are also taken into account to help things remain as fair as possible. Maker of the Year will be decided by activity data.
