Primer — Intelligent Personal Tutor for everyone
Primer is a conversational learning medium designed for learning on your own. You can think of it as a book that talks. Take Primer for a spin with the recently released free Python course.

Congratulations on the launch @siddharth_kanungo I've been obsessed over finding better ways to learn. That's why I did the course 'Learning how to learn' by Barbara Oakley :D Anyways, I feel Primer incorporates a lot of those concepts right into the platform and it may be the new way we learn things online. At 35 I've just started learning Python (on 52 of 100 days of code). I took up the Python course on Primer and it's helping me lay some of my foundations. This product gets all my votes! All the best!

Hey Everyone, Over three years in making, excited to launch Primer. Thank you @kevin for hunting Primer. Learning Difficult things on your own online is incredibly hard. Surely, there are lots of courses available, yet, the amount of time it takes to truly learn something is a long lonely journey. Well not anymore, we have created Primer to help anyone learn difficult things on their own. Here are some of the cool features of Primer: - Conversational learning - Retrace what you have learned faster - Automatically generates course flashcards - Convert your own notes and questions to flashcards and export all of them to Anki - Finally, generate your own personalized notebook that you can update for life. The central idea of Primer is to allow learners to learn difficult subjects over a longer period of time. Think years, not months. Completing courses on Primer is definitely faster than learning from, say, videos. For instance, we have just released the Free Python-1 course which is around 440+ pages of content, which you can complete in around 12-15 hours on Primer. Had it been a video-based course, easily 60+ hours. We are also announcing pre-orders for the Computer Science Primer Degree, which is a set of 46 conversational courses. If you are a self-taught programmer, someone working in tech with a non-cs background, and want to enrich your background, this just might be your best bet. The courses consist of a computer science undergraduate curriculum. If you complete a course on Primer, it stays with you forever and you can easily retrace what you have learned. All course content will be available for free as online books. We believe Primer to be a better learning medium than traditional books and would like to have skin in the game. You can use the code PRODUCTHUNT to get 15% off on the pre-orders. We would love to take your feedback on what you think about primer. Happy to answer any questions. If you would like to know more about Primer, you can read our introductory blog post or the comic based introductory post as well. Thanks Siddharth
