Hello, Product Hunt Community! First time posting here! I'm Sasikanth and I'm the developer of Pinnit! Pinnit was a passion project for many years, first starting in 2020. The idea was simple: We needed a way to create reminders, and what better canvas than the panel you open dozens or maybe hundreds of times a day. And since we're there, why not extend that to all notifications? Our problems were cut out for us — there are too many notifications these days, and it's easy to miss important ones - sometimes, accidentally. Android has a notification log, but it's not very user-friendly. It also has notification snoozing - which is somewhat useful - but it's not even enabled by default! Pinnit was a very challenging product. Dealing with notifications on Android, supporting multiple versions, handling all of their behaviors, pruning out duplicates - it's been a long time coming, but we're finally here!Features - Create and pin your own notifications - Manage your notifications with a history log, search & filtering options - Schedule notifications and add reminders - Add notes to third-party notifications 🎨 Beautiful design Our app was solely designed by @edpratti. Eduardo wanted Pinnit to be a reference point for Material 3, Android's design language. This meant that we spent a lot of time sweating out the details, prototyping transitions, creating icon animations, working out every piece of the design process so that it could be implemented to the best of our ability. And the feedback we got was incredible! 🔒 Privacy To function, Pinnit asks to read your notifications, but rest assured, we don't use any of your data for anything other than displaying it to you. In fact, no data ever leaves your device besides two situations: - Crash reports - Billing information 💬 Please let us know what you think! I hope you enjoy Pinnit as much as we enjoyed making it. We have several improvements coming soon - many of them feature requests. Thank you!

Hey Sasikanth, Does pinning notifications or using the app's features significantly affect battery life? Are there any plans to integrate with task management apps for a more comprehensive productivity solution? Congrats on the launch!
Sasikanth Miriyampalli
@kyrylosilin Hi, the battery impact should be normal. We are not making any expensive background network calls or post processing. We also use Android alarms API to schedule notifications.

Love the idea of being able to pin notes and reminders directly to the notification panel. One thing I’m wondering: does Pinnit allow for recurring notifications, like daily or weekly reminders, or is it more focused on one-off alerts? Looking forward to trying it out! Thanks!

@nettie_sop59869 it does support reoccurring scheduling

First of all - absolute banger UI and animations. One of the best I've seen in Android. And the onboarding experience too is top notch, explaining the permissions gathered. Can I make a few feature requests? 1. Let me set notification repeat frequency to Yearly too. Would be useful for Birthday and annual subscription reminders. 2. Let me add custom action to those notifications. For example, on the birthday reminder notification, I want to add a "Open whatsapp" action or "call xyz" action. 3. Let me add tags to the notes.

Very good! As a tool that people rely on in their daily lives, this tool is absolutely essential. Can you add more fun features? Just having a notice board might feel boring after long-term use.

It might be useful to add a feature that allows users to categorize notifications by type. That could help in organizing them better
