Hi Product Hunt, Super excited to be back here again 6 months after we launched for the first time. Today, we’re introducing an all new Pineapple app, purposefully re-designed to help a whole new generation of professionals make the best connections of their careers. If you’re new to Pineapple, we’re building a professional network focused on meaningful 1-1 connections and growing community spaces, with Insta-Story-like profiles. On Pineapple you can connect with thousands of young professionals, founders and creatives from companies like Shopify, Discord, Tesla, and more. We were sick of being forced to use platforms like LinkedIn so we knew we had to change how networking was being done, in a way that’s more authentic, real and expressive. Over the past few months we’ve been listening to feedback from the community and are introducing a few exciting changes to the app to help you network and connect better than ever, let’s dive in: One of the biggest changes to Pineapple since we last came to Product Hunt is our new live conversations feature, Jams. Think of Jams like async Clubhouse rooms. Jams are spaces for collaboration and discussion on professional topics, they last for 24 hours before being archived to read back on later. Only a set number of people can chat in a Jam at once but infinite amounts of people can view, so things always stay moderated and on topic. We launched Jams a couple months ago and the community has been chatting about topics like mental health for founders and young professionals, VC funding, how to break into startups and so much more. Here’s what else is new: 🏡 A home screen designed to help you keep up with your connections. The home screen shows your Jams, communities and your connections in one handy place. 🗞️ The For You Feed, the for you feed isn’t a typical newsfeed – it’s not filled with random news and an abundance of algorithmically suggested content. Instead, it’s a space to see updates from your connections and updates from your connections only. 🔍 An all new explore screen: we’ve made it so much easier to find the right connections, community or conversation from a purposefully designed explore screen that can be filtered by categories like VC, Founders, Crypto and tons more.
