Today we are thrilled to introduce Pinch - a virtual meeting platform with immersive voice translation across 30+ languages.

We started building Pinch for ourselves - over the past three years, we were leading remote international R&D teams across 6 countries. The language barrier was the biggest bottleneck to maximizing our team collaboration and rate of development. After trying all the existing solutions in the market - live caption, google translation, etc - we decided to build a user experience and AI translator designed for this problem specifically.

We know the accuracy/latency tradeoff in translation is crucial to get right. We decided to launch two meeting "modes" on Pinch:

1) AI Interpreter mode -- This mode is for highly accurate, context-aware translations in professional settings. An interpreter will join your meeting, ready to translate whenever needed.

2) Simultaneous mode -- Split-second translation with synchronized lip movements for fast, fluid conversations. As you begin to speak, your voice is translated and the other participant will see and hear you speaking their native language.

We're currently in public beta and available for free. If you give it a try -- drop us a comment! We'd love to know how we're doing in your native language and on our UX in general.

Cheers!

@christian_safka Congrats on the launch! how does the AI Interpreter mode handle technical or industry-specific jargon?

Keyu Chen

Great question @masump thanks for supporting us. We will launch a context mode that allows user to submit their domain knowledges (e.g., technical documents) before joining the meeting. Therefore our AI interpreter would handle those special technical terms better.

@christian_safka very cool launch with 30 languages 🤩

Trevon Gleeson

Congrats on the launch! I've tried the simultaneous mode, the mic and camera buttom seems a little bit delayed. Hope that could be optimized soon!

Keyu Chen

@trevon_gleeson thanks for feedback! We will definitely move fast to solve these issues!

KayeChen

So cool! Pinch transforms virtual meetings with real-time AI-powered voice translation, making global collaboration seamless and efficient. Congrats on your great work.

Keyu Chen

@wellwhale Thank you Kaye!

It’s amazing that you’ve considered user convenience by offering two different versions. Impressive. I will try it and let you know how it goes!

Keyu Chen

Thank you @kay_arkain for support ! Indeed we took feedbacks from our beta users and decided to launch both simultaneous and interpreter modes. Hope Pinch could be helpful to you!

This sounds like a game-changer for international collaboration! 🌎 The two modes—AI Interpreter and Simultaneous—seem like a great way to balance accuracy and speed. How does Pinch handle technical jargon or industry-specific terms in translation? Also, do you have plans to integrate it with existing platforms like Zoom or Microsoft Teams? Would love to try it out! 🚀

Keyu Chen

Hi @williamrobertscott thanks for supporting! For technical / industry-specific terms, we already have a plan to allow users providing more context information about the specific words need to be covered during the call - as easy as uploading a few docs and even just some links. We are also working on integration with existing platforms!

Ray luan

Very useful tool!

Keyu Chen

@ray_luan thank you for support!

Jason Yu

@joey_flores @keyu_chen1 🔥 Real-time multilingual meetings just got a major upgrade!

Pinch looks like a game-changer for international teams. The dual-mode translation approach is especially interesting—AI Interpreter for accuracy and Simultaneous mode for instant, fluid conversations. 🚀

I’m curious: how does Pinch compare to Zoom’s AI-powered translation or Talo’s AI meeting translator? Also, in Simultaneous mode, does it support regional dialects and industry-specific jargon for more natural conversations?

Keyu Chen

Thanks @kui_jason for support! Our insight is that having an AI-interpreted online meeting should be as natural as in real world scenario - user experience is super important here. That's also why we want to offer both modes (simultaneous v.s. interpreter) so that people can choose whichever they prefer for their individual use cases.
In interpreter mode, you can speak many dialects besides those 30+ languages we support! I personally tested many chinese dialects and it works really well. I wish you would like to try it and let us know if it also works for you!
We are going to launch "uploading context-aware database" feature very soon, it should help to handle industry-specific jargon much better than general translations.

Congrats on the launch, Pinch team! This is a huge step toward breaking down language barriers in virtual meetings. Love the dual-mode approach—giving users both accuracy and real-time fluidity is a game-changer. Excited to see how this evolves and helps global teams collaborate more seamlessly. Wishing you all the best!

Keyu Chen

@shant_hambarsoumian Thank you Shant! Looking forward to hear your feedback once you tried it out :)

Congrats on the launch of Pinch! The real-time voice translation and dual modes for accuracy and speed are impressive and will surely break down language barriers in professional settings.

Keyu Chen

@mikita_aliaksandrovich Thank you Mikita for support!

Business Marketing with Nika

This is genial – no more language barriers. This would be great to have on big conferences!

Keyu Chen

Thanks @busmark_w_nika  Using Pinch for big international conferences is an amazing idea!

Sanjay Jaiswal

Any plans to expand to more niche dialects?

Christian Safka

@sanjay_jaiswal3 Hey Sanjay, our Interpreter Mode should be able to handle a lot of dialects! Keyu tried a few niche dialects of Mandarin and I've tested Estonian mixed with English

I frequently work with multinational teams; real-time voice translation would be a huge productivity booster. Many video conferencing tools focus on captions, but real-time translated voice adds a whole new level of engagement. (wow)

Idea: Have you considered a "persistent glossary" where users can save key terms or industry-specific jargon to improve accuracy over time? This could be really useful for legal, medical, or technical discussions where terminology consistency is crucial.

Good job :)

Christian Safka

@hamza_afzal_butt Hi Hamza, thanks for your comment! We're calling that concept of a persistent glossary "context-aware translation" and it's on our roadmap for early March. A good language interpreter knows what you say, but a great interpreter knows why you said something, in order to properly communicate the meaning. Knowing your industry, goals, conversation topic are all vital context!

Aj

This is super cool, and a great demo!

Keyu Chen

@aj_123 Thank you Aj!

Puja Kumari

Curious how well this handles my accent? That's a big deal for me!

Christian Safka

@puja_kumari40 Hi Puja, our interpreter mode is currently better designed to handle a lot of accents. We would love to get your feedback though - could you give it a try and let us know?

Ajay Sahoo

This is something innovative i came across a whole application of video conferencing with real time language translation

Keyu Chen

@ajay27324 thank you for support! We hope you would like to try it and let us know how you want it better for your use cases.

Justin Bush

Looks like a super cool product—definite game changer. Can’t wait to try it out!

Keyu Chen

@jbush thank you for support us! Pinch is now live and free at our website, would you like to invite a friend to test out?

Hussein

That’s a super cool idea! I can already see how handy this could be, especially for international teams where language barriers slow down collaboration. The two modes are a great touch since different situations need different types of translation. Definitely giving this a try, curious to see how natural the AI interpreter feels! 🚀

Keyu Chen

@hussein_r Thank you Hussein! You are definitely right, people need different interpretation experience for different calls, that's why we build it! Great to hear your feedback once you tried it out!

David J. Phillips
Love this! Great stuff Keyu and Christian 🙏
Keyu Chen

@davj Thank you David for support!

Shivam Singh

This is an exciting step forward for global collaboration! The two-mode approach is a smart way to balance accuracy and speed depending on the conversation type.

Congrats on the launch!

Best wishes and sending lots of wins to the team :) @christian_safka

Christian Safka

@whatshivamdo Thank you Shivam!
