PhoneCast 2.0 - Mirror iPhone/iPad to your Mac wirelessly

Mirror iPhone/iPad to your Mac wirelessly. No need to connect iPhone/iPad to Mac with a cable. Demo what's on your iPhone/iPad in online-meeting, play games, draw live. PhoneCast 2.0 has a new rendering engine that makes it just as good as casting with cables.

@pawan_dixit1 this is pretty slick. I’m going to remember this whenever I need to demo a mobile app Does it also function when the iPhone is orientated sideways?
Pawan Dixit
@kel_alaike Thanks Kel. Yes it does support all orientations. You can keep it locked to portrait or landscape mode and switch between them manually from the iPhone app.

Hello Makers 👋 I am launching PhoneCast 2.0 with zero frame drops casting. With zero lag and jitter this makes PhoneCast a true replacement for cables. PhoneCast 2.0 is useful when you need to demo your iPhone or iPad screen on your Mac. PhoneCast 2.0 has absolutely zero frame drops and casts at 60 frames per second. And as you would expect, it has zero steps to set up - just install the app on your Mac and iPhone/iPad and you are good to go, start casting from your iOS app. PhoneCast works best on wifi but handles limited bandwidth of Bluetooth really well too so you never ever need a cable. PhoneCast works well with Zoom and any other meeting app. You can share what's on your iPhone/iPad in online meetings. Here is a demo of casting from iPhone to Mac.

Don’t you think the latest IOS 15 does the same
Pawan Dixit
@indev Hi Tanmay, thanks for your comment. PhoneCast doesn’t lock you to full screen like iOS 15 to Mac Monterey airplay. So you can use it along with other apps on your Mac. This makes you share PhoneCast in zoom meetings on your Mac for example.

Hello congrats for your launch ...🚀 Do the mirroring goes only in one side or in both? iPhone to Mac and Mac to iPhone?
Pawan Dixit
@oli8o Thanks @oli8o. Mirroring is from iPhone/iPad to Mac.

What about the reviews on the Apple App store? All negative and one seems to hint at being charged twice?
Pawan Dixit
@daminkk PhoneCast went though a lot of improvements and user feedback to make it the way it works today. PhoneCast is an Apple universal app. So you pay only once and download it on your Mac, iPhone, iPad. In a rare case though, where user has 2 different iCloud accounts on their Mac and iPhone, they can end up buying it twice.

Interesting!

Nice idea! I'm curious about the latency of casting using bluetooth. Would it affect usability?
Pawan Dixit
@eugenelet Latency is decent on bluetooth as well. If you keep wifi and bluetooth both turned on (no need to connect to a wifi network), it uses wifi direct route to give you almost zero latency same as over wifi.

Isn’t AirPlay to Mac native starting with Monterey
Pawan Dixit
@parwinder Thanks for you comment. PhoneCast doesn’t lock you to full screen like native Airplay. So you can use it along with other apps on your Mac. This makes you share PhoneCast in zoom meetings on your Mac for example.
