Happy to be here again! Hello PH Once again huge thank you to @benln, our hunter, for believing in our vision at Permit.io You've probably seen access-sharing components (Request to edit a document, view a widget in a dashboard, submit a wire transfer for approval) a million times before. We kept seeing our customers building these experiences over and over on top of our API. This is why we decided to build Permit Share-If: a suite of prebuilt, embeddable UI components that make access sharing in applications much easier. As always, we really hope this new release will help you with the nightmare implementing permissions can pose. I'm curious to hear from the community - have you built these elements from scratch? Any horror stories to share? We're open to any questions or discussions, and AMAs, so fire away!

@benln @kjosephabraham What you'd like to see improved in the existing elements, and which other elements and flow you'd like to see next ?

I was recently using Permit Share-if and the experience was very good. Those embeddable Ui components really made our lives easy. Most importantly we can customize that as well. Kudos to the Whole Permit Team!

I appreciate the customization options with Permit Share-If. Can the prebuilt components be used across different frameworks seamlessly?
Gabriel L. Manor
@memphys_sk they are framework agnostic. We are also about releasing React/Angular support soon.

Implementing Fine-Grained Authorization without providing a good experience for the end users could make it a useless feature. It seems like the Permit.io team's creativity nailed it again with a spectacular way to solve this pain. Well done team. Congrats on the launch.

Love the video and the wordplay with share-if! Congrats!
Andriy Semenets
Congratulations on the launch! This looks very useful. Are there any options available to configure things? E.g. theme colors, available actions, etc.? Thanks.
Gabriel L. Manor
Sure thing, @semanser . Everything is configured in the elements.

This looks interesting, but what if I want to automate this? The UI is cool - but what if I want to trigger approvals for my users directly from my code?
Gabriel L. Manor
@on Everything on Permit is API-based (including Share-If, ofc). At any point in the flow, you can use our API for it - https://api.permit.io/v2/redoc#t...

You've nailed a real headache for devs. Can't wait to give it a spin!

It looks fantastic! I know how daunting this task can be, especially in the early stages. I’ve bookmarked it for myself :) Wishing you a successful launch! 🚀 By the way, the video is awesome!

Very interesting side of tech that I didn't think much about before, but it makes so much sense. Lots of platforms are building a doc library with sharing capabilities. It makes sense to just leverage a solution like Permit, just like you don't need to build your own authentication layer. Congrats @or_weis and team on the launch!
Gabriel L. Manor
I'm happy that you like it, @tonyhanded! Our main mission at Permit is to help developers never build permissions again. This is just the continuous nature of it.

Fantastic work! I've definitely spent countless hours reinventing the wheel with access-sharing components. How customizable are these components? Can we tweak them to fit our specific branding and user needs?
Gabriel L. Manor
Thanks for the kind words, @katterine_davis Yes, the components are highly customizable, from styling to structure. You can try them yourself at https://app.permit.io/elements

Hey @or_weis Permit Share-If: Easy to use building blocks for apps that need to share access safely? How does this help regular users manage permissions without technical hassle?
Or Weis
@jpgohil93 Hi Jayesh ! Terrific question. Permit Share-If experiences are modeled after interfaces everyone can use (think of your common file sharing app or banking app) by using Permit Share-If instead of building from scratch you know you're adding UX your users would love into your app, UX that we worked hard to get right for you.

Hey Or and the Permit.io team! 👋 Permit Share-If sounds like a fantastic solution for simplifying access sharing in applications. The suite of prebuilt, embeddable UI components that streamline permission management is a much-needed tool. It's great to see a product that can eliminate the repetitive work of building these experiences from scratch, making it easier and safer to delegate permission management to users. Excited to see how Permit Share-If helps developers tackle the complexities of access control. Kudos to the team for creating such an innovative and time-saving tool! 🚀 Cheers, Konstantinos Choutos
