Hi everyone, I’m Kevin, co-founder of Pathrise (https://www.producthunt.com/post...). I’m really excited to launch our new set of guides, which provide tips and templates for every step of your job search, including resume optimization, application efficiency, reverse recruiting, cold emailing, technical and behavioral interviewing, and negotiation. After working with hundreds of people on their job search, we were able to distill what we have learned into these step-by-step outlines so that you can move through your job search with confidence and ease. At Pathrise our goal is to act as an advocate for job-seekers by correcting the imbalance of information between applicant and company. We’re excited to put these guides out there and see how people use them!

This guide to get a job in tech is super handy for anyone new to tech recruiting or getting back into the swing of job hunting! I appreciate the step by step list with concrete examples to summarize each section. In particular, I liked the additional links expanding on specific areas like “how to build a good resume” or “view negotiation emails”. Well done Pathrise for making the job hunt process feel more manageable and less daunting!

Hi Kevin: Congrats on your launch. This looks very useful. Is see that you're taking a page out of the recruitment model and charging the candidate an "income share" -- which is, I assume a percentage of the candidates' salary. In Canada, charging a candidate for information on finding a job or for getting them a job is illegal. Have you had much push-back on this from candidates or government agencies?

Love the part on Negotiations! Great advice to keep your cool once you land an offer, and try to have the negotiation conversation over email instead of a phone call.
