Many websites give the option to subscribe websites updates, like Youtube, Twitter, Github etc.
But a lot more websites don't. If you want to know if there is something new, you need to open the site and check it yourself.
Watcher37 can help.
It works this way:
1. Watcher37 makes a request to the link you define, and gets the HTML response.
2. Then it parses this HTML, and search for the content you are interested in, with the CSS selector you define.
3. Then it will save the found content into database, end-to-end encrypted.
4. If you setup a checking schedule, for example, "check the website every hour", then Watcher37 will do step 1 - 3 every hour for you in the background.
5. If you integrate Telegram, it will send a message to you whenever it finds something new. It won't bother you if nothing is changed.
6. If you integrate a Telegram channel, it will send a message to the channel, so everyone in that channel will get notified.
Early this year, I went to a small city in Germany to ski, but unfortunately it was too warm, there was no snow.
On top of the ski website, there is a banner, giving updates about the status.
But there is no option to leave my email there, to subscribe to the updates.
So I checked the website everyday for several days.
Then an idea came to my mind, I can build a bot that checks the website everyday for me, and send me an email whenever the status changes.
That's how Watcher37 starts.
And this is the watcher: https://watcher37.peng.kiwi/w/z6...
You will see a history of the updates :)
Hope it can also help you save time.
