For the past 8 years, I have participated, launched or led dozens of products, most of which failed miserably, 2 smallish exits and no plans to stop.
We, as founders, are in an extremely weird place. To succeed you need one good shot, and there are not many good signals to rely on, that would predict success.
Looking at failed projects and seeing alternatives raise millions a few years later, made me think that I was right, but I was weak to move forward and decided to kill a promising product. I did not believe enough in myself.
Recently I came across Kamal Ravikant's book "love yourself like your life depends on it". And it was groundbreaking for me. Only after 30 days, I started to see a drastic change.
