Four years ago I wound up my hedge fund and cast around for other opportunities. I became fascinated by the promise of fintech and made several early stage investments including a series A in Revolut. More recently I decided to publicly share some of the things I have learned investing in financial companies. The result is Net Interest. Each week an email goes out exploring a key theme trending in the sector and highlighting a few more themes of interest. After eight issues Net Interest has over 2,000 subscribers; the target is to get that to 5,000. The homepage being launched today provides a fulcrum for Net Interest — a place to attract new readers and a forum for discussion as the community grows. Thanks to @packym of Not Boring for paving the way with the launch of his excellent site. As he and others have shown, the demand for high quality content is growing, and Net Interest hopes to satisfy it in the finance/fintech segment in the most net interesting way possible.
