Hello, Product Hunt Community! π
We're excited to share the latest updates on Microanalytics, a project we successfully launched two years ago. You can find the first launch post here.
But why today? Well, there is no better time than now to transition your analytics to Microanalytics. With Google Analytics Universal set to close tomorrow, users will have to navigate through Google Analytics 4, an analytics solution that is far from intuitive.
What's new with Microanalytics?
- We've fully redesigned our service, complete with a fresh landing page and a user-friendly dashboard.
- Our acquisition insights and tracking feature enables you to comprehend where your website visitors are coming from, and how they're discovering your site.
- Stay updated with real-time analytics, offering instant insight into your site's performance.
- Our data export feature allows for quick and easy export of all your data in CSV format for offline access, keeping your insights within easy reach.
- Our revamped API is now live! Developers can seamlessly create counters or dashboards to display on their end products.
- We've adjusted our pricing to better suit your needs. For custom pricing options, please don't hesitate to get in touch!

This is great for b2b. I would love to use this but for b2c it's way too expensive. We will have 3m views per month with only 1000 customers. π Is there not a way to throttle or batch analytics to support b2c? Thanks
@sentry_co Absolutely, we've got you covered! π We offer custom plans tailored just for your needs. Let's chat about this and figure out the best solution for your b2c model. Reach out to us anytime, we're here to help. https://app.microanalytics.io/co...
Cheers! π
@andrewdejackson Just out of curiosity. How much would say 3billion views per month cost? Do I need dedicated servers for that or? 3b views is our estimate need when we hit 1m. Which would not be unrealistic in b2c for a freemium app. That depends on a large amount of free users to be sustainable. But analytics for our case. For now we use GA π
@sentry_co Our clients' views and website traffic are not causing any problems. For more information about our infrastructure, please refer to the following comment: https://www.producthunt.com/post....

@andrewdejackson Thanks. I would love to see a calculator on your website regarding cost so I can predict how much it will be when we scale. Right now it's in the blue. I'll add your service to my list of options https://github.com/sentryco/Tele... when we migrate out of GA since they are probably going to shut down soon because they dont earn any money now that EU forced them to anonymise the data. Thanks for your reply!
@sentry_co Thank you for reaching out! Kindly send us an email message to request an estimate and avail of our current discounts. We would be happy to assist you!
congrats! love to see GA alternatives! super curious, how do you guarantee scalability? which database do you use to process such as big chunk of data?
@jgferreiro Thank you so much for the congratulatory message! We're super thrilled to be providing an alternative to Google Analytics and to hear such positive feedback.
Great question about scalability! Our team has prioritized this from the get-go. We use a combination of techniques and technologies to ensure that as we grow, our service remains robust, efficient, and reliable.
On the database front, we leverage a distributed database system, which is designed to handle large volumes of data across many commodity servers. While I can't disclose the specific database technology we use due to proprietary reasons, I can tell you it's a solution that is known for its high performance, scalability, and reliability, often used in big data and real-time web applications.
Regarding data processing, we implement a microservices architecture. This allows us to scale different aspects of our platform independently, based on specific needs.
We also invest heavily in caching, load balancing, and optimized querying to ensure efficient data retrieval. Plus, we're consistently monitoring performance to preemptively spot potential scalability issues and address them before they become a problem.
In terms of maintaining service continuity, our uptime is closely monitored by a service such as https://pulsetic.com/
We use Google Analytics a lot for our projects, so I'm super intrigued with a more privacy-focused alternative. I'm excited to try this out! Congrats on the launch! ππ
I've been using the service since the first day of its release. It's very simple and offers the basic statistics that a privacy-focused platform needs.
I recommend that you add more comparison graphics.
@andrianv Oh, wow! That's awesome to hear that you've been with us right from day one! It's users like you that keep us motivated and excited to continue developing and improving our service.
I love your idea about adding more comparison graphics.
Thanks so much for your support. Keep them coming!
@andrewdejackson and the creators of Microanalytics.io, kudos on offering a privacy-focused alternative! I'm curious, can users export data from specific date ranges or filter it based on different variables?
@ricardo_luz Thank you for your inquiry! We're happy to inform you that you can export the data you need. Additionally, our API is available for use if you want to integrate the data into your own app.
Our organization utilizes Microanalytics instead of Google Analytics. It is an easy-to-use platform that serves our needs as we don't require advanced statistics. The basic options are perfect for our requirements.
Good new design!
Currently, I am content with using this tool in combination with others to complete my full analysis. However, I hope to have access to a one-stop-shop for all my needs in the near future. I highly recommend this tool, especially for those who are new to website data analytics.
While the emphasis on privacy and compliance is admirable, the tool could potentially lack the detailed analytics and advanced features that some competitors, such as Google Analytics, provide. Improvements could include implementing more in-depth reporting functionalities while maintaining its privacy-focused ethos.
Today, I logged into MA and noticed the updates - they look fantastic! I have been curious to know which devices, browsers, and countries my website is being viewed from. MA is a top-quality, budget-friendly, and privacy-focused product. I absolutely love it.
@al_llamas Thank you! It can be difficult to find the right tool for each user, but we offer the same features as our competitors at the best price on the market.
