Thanks @susan_miner I see some real synergies with this and our own small business customer base. Do you have an affiliate or agency option?

@ian_naylor Hi Ian. Yes that's actually part of a future launch. We have an agency plan that will allow users to create promo videos that can be used to send to clients. Agents can then earn a commission from each sign up. Does that sound like something you'd be interested in?

@tosoulscape @susan_miner So, it's basically a pre-recorded stock video with a photo of your choice behind them, after an initial intro to who they are?

@rossdcurrie - yes exactly, users can upload their logo, business name, contact and address details, upload multiple images to customise the background and upload their own review. In future releases we'd like to add more choice regarding scripts and business types as the product develops.

@aaronoleary We think so too. If huge brands can use celebrities to endorse their business and products, then why not the small businesses too? It's not the easiest job trying to hunt down celebs, but we have a great network and a great team making it happen. 😉

@aaronoleary, convincing the celebrities actually took the most time. It's a new concept which they had not heard of previously. But, we were able to get them by paying them really well. It's expensive for us but we feel it will be worth it for the local businesses.

@sam___hurley Hi Sam, thank you for your feedback. When we were developing the product, this was a question that came up, but we decided to randomise the celebrity every month to keep our users engaged, sticky and to provide a sense of FOMO. But stay tuned, this could be an upgrade option. ;)

@susan_miner That makes perfect sense, Susan! I like it. Also, I guess there could even be an issue of popular celebs becoming over-booked LOL. (It must be tough being so known, right?!). 😆

@cecillegrey Thanks for the feedback - we actually got some user feedback a few weeks ago saying the same thing, and we are looking to improve the final video, making the intro shorter.

@cecillegrey We are also working on a version of the video where the celebrity intro reel is at the end of the video. So, it will be the celebrity talking first then we go to a video about the celebrity. Do you think this would work better?

@evan_besser Hi Evan. Would love to know more about your project? What are you working on? Our collaboration with celebrities has come through personal networks. My modelling career has enabled me to build a really strong network of agents and celebrities over many, many years in the business. My advice would be to approach agents and build relationships or approach smaller, lesser-known celebrities directly - so many can be contacted on social media.

@thatmattgardner Hi Matt - and ouch! 😉 I'm here to get feedback and part of the process is about accepting the good with the bad so thank you for sharing your thoughts! We know we can't please everyone, but you're right - we've focused mainly targeting small businesses in the US as we build and develop our product. We know these celebrities will be lesser known in the UK for example. Do you have any suggestions on how you think we could improve our production to appeal to other markets?

@nabeenam Thanks Nabeena, we think we're pretty unique too - but doesn't every founder! :-D We're actually working to improve the sign-up process, taking on board some of the points you've mentioned. Hopefully we can roll that out in the next release.

@passingnotes Hello David - Thanks for pointing out the sound issue. We have worked to resolve that for actual downloads. Appreciate your feedback regarding the lack of personalisation when it comes to the script. Due to the on-the-fly nature of the product and the affordably monthly price point we wanted to offer - we aren't able to create fully personalised scripted videos - it just wasn't scalable. To do that we'd have to charge a small fortune and of course it would rely on the celebrity re-recording an intro with the new brand name. Without going too stat heavy on the benefits of positive reviews and how they positively impact consumer trust especially with local businesses - when we did our trials with beta customers, 16% of new sales within the first week of social promotion were linked to their celebrity affiliation.

@passingnotes In addition, we don't see this as something which can be compared to an influencer campaign because, with our product, the celeb is not posting to their social media. The videos Megabiz creates are designed to get attention on the business owner's social media. In addition, they can be used in Video SEO campaigns and in paid ads. @becky_halls Hi there Becky. We haven't either to be honest. From personal experience we know what getting celebrity endorsed videos aren't cheap - so to be able to combine tech and video marketing in this way opens a lot of opportunity for small businesses and brands.
