I like Matrix's integrations with various other platforms. I personally use Matrix in my classroom for instant messaging with my students. Specifically, we the use Element user interface. My only concern is the encryption which I disable because it causes too much hassle setting up with students who don't understand it.

Decentralize all the things! And great bridging support really helps slowly moving.
