Hello, I'm Alec, co-founder of Logically (formerly Afforai)! Building Logically (formerly Afforai) has been a rollercoaster. It started as a solution to our own very real struggles with academic writing at Lawrence University. We were frustrated, overwhelmed, and honestly, just tired of the whole research paper process. So, we built a tool to make it easier. We never expected half the school to sign up for our first, very rough-around-the-edges MVP. That was a huge validation and a wake-up call. We realized this wasn't just a personal problem; it was something a lot of students were facing. The journey from dorm room coding to where we are now has been wild. There was the Product Hunt launch that somehow took off, the almost-missed VC funding because we thought it was a prank call (still can't believe that one), the move from Wisconsin to Texas, and the constant learning process of building a product and a community. We've spent countless hours talking to users, understanding their needs, and trying to build something truly helpful. Logically isn't just about making research easier; it's about empowering people to express their ideas and share their knowledge. We're still figuring things out, still iterating, and still learning.
