Even though I only used the tool once, I was very very happy with how easy it was to login and remove my spam emails!!

LMA is one of my favourite recent apps made by two very passionate makers. Watching @dinkydani21 and @jamesivings work tirelessly on improving the UX, pricing structure the products design as they travel has been very inspiring.
I really love the way they have worked in helping the environment with their tech product and think it's something a lot of companies and makers can take note of!

For extra privacy, would it be possible to optionally connect to gmail using the βhttps://www.googleapis.com/auth/...β scope? So that just metadata like email headers, not the actual content, is shared? π
@voxpelli hey! yes we could, but it was our intention to search the content for unsubscribe links too. In terms of the Gmail API they are both restricted scopes but we could definitely give people the choice. Thank you for the suggestion :)
I have tried lots of solutions to bulk unsubscribe. Leave Me Alone is by far the easiest and values my privacy. I was also a beta tester and wonderful to see some of the ideas suggested being incorporated in V2.

To celebrate, today we're launching the official Leave Me Alone version 2.0. You might recognise that the core product is the same as always, but we've rebuilt everything from the ground up to be faster, more resilient, and more effective at unsubscribing you.

π All the inboxes! π¬
We've added support for all your inboxes including Gmail, Outlook, iCloud, FastMail, AOL, and Yahoo. Plus, we've introduced IMAP support so you can connect any other inbox you might have. You can also now attach all your inboxes to a single account and deal with all those subscriptions together!

°οΈ Scoring subscriptions π

Using aggregated anonymous usage data we've created an algorithm that we're calling Subscription Score. We score each mailing list you receive using how frequently it's been seen before, how many times it's been unsubscribed from, how many addresses they send from, how many emails they send a month and many other data points. Using this we give each email a rank from A to F, so you can instantly see if it's worth keeping.
π° One credit = one unsubscribe πΈ
Unlike our competitors, we've always charged a fee for unsubscribing you. This is how you know we don't need to sell your data in order to keep afloat. With v2.0 we've made our payment system fairer and easier to understand (read more here) - now we only charge based on which emails you want to unsubscribe from. You can buy credit packages starting at $2.50 for 50 credits, all the way up to $10.50 for 300 credits.
π Teams Plan π¬
During v1.0 many users asked us if we offered a monthly subscription plan, or a way for them to buy scans for their entire office. To help with this we've introduced a plan for Teams. On the teams plan you pay a fixed rate monthly per seat for unlimited unsubscribes.
π³ Unsubscribe from COβ Emissions π
We participated in a challenge to help fix the climate. During research we discovered that unwanted emails contributed a whopping 986,000 tonnes of carbon to the atmosphere every day! So we implemented a way to see how much carbon you can offset by unsubscribing - check it out here. Plus, we partnered with One Tree Planted to let all users donate an extra $1 when purchasing credits to go towards planting a tree!

1. We are privacy-focused and will never sell your data - we charge for our service so that you can be sure we will never exploit your data in order to keep our lights on.
2. We unsubscribe you instantly from mailing lists - we don't apply any labels or filters to your inbox, those subscriptions are gone forever, even if you stop using Leave Me Alone.
