Thank you so much for hunting us @chrismessina! 🙏 Hey Hunters 👋 We’re so excited to launch Jitter 1.0 and share it with you today!! Jitter is a fast and simple motion design tool on the web. You can easily create stunning animations for your videos, websites, apps, socials, content, and more – it’s like Figma but for motion design. 💫 Two years ago, we launched our beta on Product Hunt and the feedback from the community has been incredible. We've had hundreds of conversations with designers, founders, marketers and developers, and we used that to make our tool even more accessible and powerful: we introduced animation presets, the ability to import designs from Figma, more export formats, and several productivity improvements. Our users now say that Jitter is the fastest and simplest tool to create animated content & interfaces, for individuals. And this year, we want to make Jitter the **best animation tool for professionals**: designers, teams, and businesses. When @etienn and I started Jitter, we had one mission in mind: **make motion design accessible to everyone**. This new version is just the first step towards that mission. In this release, we are bringing a complete UI overhaul to make Jitter look more professional yet playful, and a ton of new features to make you more productive. But most importantly, this is the foundation on which we’ll build the future of our platform over the next few years. In 2023, we’re planning to add teams and collaboration features, infinite canvas with multiple artboards, custom animation presets, and more… The future is exciting and we can’t wait to show you everything we have in store!! 💡 **How can you help?** 1. Try Jitter – it’s easy to get started: you can start from scratch, import designs from Figma, or start from a template 2. Give us feedback so we can make Jitter better FOR YOU 3. Share it with your design and content teams, and with your designer friends – we would LOVE to get their feedback too 🎁 **And here’s a little gift for you: the first 3 months are on us** We want to thank you for all the valuable feedback and support you’ve given us. Here’s a code you can use this week only to get 25% off your annual subscription: PH2023. We can’t wait to hear your feedback! – Robi and the Jitter Team PS: I’m available for an AMA all day :)

@robi - Do you have a team of expert Jitter consultants or could you recommend any? I sent you an email :) Would love some help finding someone that can leverage the hell out of your awesome tool.

@william_ferrell1 We don't have an official directory yet, but some people started to organize themselves on Twitter!

@chrismessina @etienn @noyanidin @robi Just been experimenting with my first animations and seems awesome! The PH2023 code isn't working for me in the checkout though, says expired :(

Animating a design has always been a hard skill to master, and I always felt like we needed a modern alternative to Adobe After Effects – minus the steep learning curve. Jitter is evolving every day in the best possible manner to give back to the creative community and make motion design simple, fast, and more accessible.
Luper Rouch
Amazing animation tool, makes motion design intuitive!

@robi Stunning UX! 😍 I love the speed to value. 🚀 Some questions: 1. Would users prefer to see the most popular/ most used templates first? 2. Since millions of designers use Figma, is it wise to highlight that connection on the starting screen? 3. Does it make sense to use a lock emoji for the sign-in button? I thought that I wasn't allowed to click on that button. 4. Would it make sense to show the amount of PH likes on your website as well, since you are #1? 5. I did not opt-in for the email; would it be wise to have the option to do that later in the settings? 6. If you use a template, isn't it logical that it automatically creates copy since you can already see what it looks like if you hoover? 7. Would it make sense to make three tiers of pricing? Free, Premium, and Enterprise? You always have people who want to buy the most expensive option. Also, 12$ compared to 150$ seems like a bargain, while 12$ next to 0 seems like a steal. Good luck with your launch today; I hope you win the product of the day!
Sébastien Robaszkiewicz
@jas801 Thanks for the feedback Jasper, that's super helpful!! Agreed on all points, thanks for sharing :)
Denis Galka
Wow! My congratulations on the launch on the Product Hunt! 🎉 I watched your promo video, which is so fast as on x3 speed. 😄 One day I need a short animation for my sequoia.health startup. I decided not to order and made it on my own. I used Adobe After Effects. Honestly, it was so difficult for me. There are hundreds of buttons and options. I spent there for half a day and gave up. Is it easy to make animation with Jitter? How do you help newbies to learn?
Luper Rouch
@denis_galka Jitter is regarded as very easy to use, even by non experienced users :) There are tutorials on the youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@JitterV...
Denis Galka
@jittervideo @jitterv @luper_rouch Super! Special thanks for the video tutorials. I checked the link. There are lots of them. I think this is an essential part, for a project like this. I definitely want to try Jitter. My best wishes with further developing 🚀
Sébastien Robaszkiewicz
@jittervideo @jitterv @luper_rouch @denis_galka Awesome Denis, let us know what you think after you try it!!
Evelina Radoycheva
I used to be a designer and I still remember how complicated it was before to create such animations. It looks like an amazing product and I'm sure it will easily become the go-to tool for many designers. Best of luck!
Sébastien Robaszkiewicz
@eve_rad Thank you so much for the kind words Evelina!!
Paolo De Giglio 🚀
Congratulations on the launch of Jitter on Product Hunti! 🎉 I'm so excited to try the new version and all of the amazing features you guys have added. Could you tell us a bit more about the animation presets and how they work? I can't wait to see what kind of animations I can create! 😊 Thanks for making motion design accessible to everyone, and for all the hard work you're doing! 🙌
Sébastien Robaszkiewicz
@paolo_degiglio Thanks a lot Paolo, really appreciate your kind words! 😊 Most of the animation presets are a combination of the atomic animations. For instance, the “Slide in” preset is just a bundle of and Opacity + Move animation. Some presets are more complicated than others, though: for instance, the Masking presets also include a mask, which is not in the layer list – the mask is created on the go, and attached to the animation preset itself. One of the things we're working on at the moment is to enable anyone to create their own presets that they can reuse on any layer, and potentially share with their teams. It's pretty easy to do for the simple presets (combination of atomic animations), but a bit more tricky for the masks for instance – hard at work to release that new feature ASAP!! 😃

@mthblt @christophe_beveraggi @robi @etienn @thomasski @luper_rouch @xavier_chassin_me The template gallery that opens the application to see the details of the animation is a really good idea! Congratulations to the whole team for this product!
Sébastien Robaszkiewicz
@laurieherault Thanks a lot Laurie! Yes, we're trying to let users experience the product as much as possible without even signing up
Laurie Hérault

Heleana Grace
We've done countless animations in Jitter, it's an incredibly powerful tool. Huge congrats on the launch and good luck!
Sébastien Robaszkiewicz
@heleana Thanks for your support Heleana! We're lucky to have you among our users 🥰
Steeve
Hello, it seems like a nifty tool for designing animations. I was wondering, how do you integrate animations into websites/applications? What are the performances? do you have benchmarks? @robi
Sébastien Robaszkiewicz
@steevep Hey Steeve! If you want to integrate your animations in websites and apps, you can use the Lottie export format: it's a vector animation format developed by Airbnb and many other members from the community, and it's optimized for performance (and interactivity). It's becoming pretty popular among the Design and Developer community these days, and all the website builders like Framer and Webflow support it.
Steeve
@robi Thank you for your answer, it is clear now. I already heard about the Lottie format, now I have to try it. Congrats on the launch!
Baptiste N
I've used Jitter a few times, and I've never been into motion design before. To be honest, the concept is good, and the execution is even better. Congrats to the team for shipping such a great product!
Sébastien Robaszkiewicz
@baptiste_ncls Thank you so much Baptiste!!
Stedman Blake Hood
Jitter is so good!! Been using it for our simple animations and loving it. From a business model perspective i'm curious where y'all are taking Jitter long-term? in what new areas can we expect to see Jitter develop in the coming years?
Sébastien Robaszkiewicz
@stedmanblake Thanks Stedman!! The demand for animated content is rising rapidly, and motion is becoming essential for all user-facing content, such as websites, apps, videos, social media. Companies need to produce unique, brand-aligned animated content, but this is so hard to do with the current tools. To address this, we are launching Jitter with two main use cases: content and interface design. And in the future, we want to be the go-to platform for any animation work: videos, GIFs for email campaigns, animations for apps, websites, socials, etc. And of course, we want to make these workflows available to teams and enable users to build on each other's work with Community files!
Porush Puri 🇮🇳
Congratulations on the launch, this looks super exciting and promising. Looking forward to using it on daily basis. Amazed by the idea. Kudos to the team who pulled it off.
Sébastien Robaszkiewicz
@porush_puri Agreed, kudos to the team!! 👏👏👏
Arsen Kolyba
Congrats on launching v1 of Jitter. I've been following your product for the last few months and it's evolving rapidly which is nice to see. Your recent rebrand also brought the product to that next level. I wonder what's next for Jitter?
Sébastien Robaszkiewicz
@arsen_kolyba Thank you so much for the kind words Arsen! So many things next: enabling teams to work together, multi-artboard and animated components, custom easings and animation presets… and that's just for the editor! Many things in the work to better serve the Community too
Christophe Pasquier
Such an incredible tool, kudos on the launch Jitter team! Really the kind of platform that makes you look back and remember that a few years ago you needed 40h of lessons, a super expensive Adobe license and a super powerful PC to run these, and now it's so freaking easy and fast!
Sébastien Robaszkiewicz
@christophepas Thank you so much for your support Chris!!
Victor Gorovoy
Wow-wow-wow! How about hi-res outputs? Any maxsize in pixels or not? If it's in Full HD it can be a game changer 🚀🚀🚀 Thank you for such great product, anyway 💫
Sébastien Robaszkiewicz
@victor_gorovoy Thanks Victor! For now, exports are capped at 2140 (width and height), but that'll be easy to unlock 4K and more
Sébastien Robaszkiewicz
@victor_gorovoy at you service!
