Here's something I've been wondering about as a left-hander. Does anyone know about a "left handed mode" for the one-handed features? Seems like something worthy of an off-hand mention, but I didn't hear anything in the Keynote.
The iPhone5 was perfect width for my thumb (something they made a big deal about at the time). Now that both options are wider, it's going to be a huge pain if it's right-handers only.
@troblous I thought so, too, until I just held and pocketed a co-worker's Samsung S5, which is almost identical in width and just 3/4 of an inch taller than the iPhone 6+. I might just be a convert to +.

@eriktorenberg Two more years and we'll exceed 6" or 7" and leave the phone constantly in our pockets or bags and start carrying around a remote for the phone.
Oh wait...that already exists? HTC mini+: http://www.htc.com/de/accessorie... *cringe
Apple Pay was the central story with the new iPhone 6 and 6 Plus announcements. Combining NFC with the previously available Touch ID from the 5S and Apple's Secure Element, customers can be assured that Apple nor merchants may view any of their PII or payment data.
Who would have thought that Apple could potentially resurrect NFC with success with over 200k merchants in the US such as Macy's, Walgreens, Subway, Whole Foods, Staples, and Duane Reade?
@zalzally agreed. The Watch is sweet, and I'm stoked to upgrade to the 6, but Apple Pay looks to me like the most impressive feat.nnThe question remains though: is it possible to change consumer behavior in such a dramatic fashion? Amerrrrcans have been pulling out their wallets and handing over their cards for decades. Changing that habit is not going to be a cake walk.nnThat being said, with enough high profile breaches (a la Home Depot and Target), the tide could turn pretty quick.nnMaybe Apple should hire some Russian hackers...
@dankaplan@zalzally Don't think it has to "kill" cards though. For guys, it has to be about as easy to pull out my phone as it is to pull out my wallet. Then things like speed, security, thinner wallet, etc can take over.
For girls, it's possible that pay by phone could be significantly easier. For instance, I've witnessed female friends have their phone out already, but rummage through their purse to find their wallet.
This is where pay-by-watch seems the most interesting. But then again, NFC is limited to $25 in the US. I don't remember the last time I spent less than $25 at Whole Foods, Macy's, Staples, Nordstrom...
I'll take a 6 plus for sure. Battery life is better. I'm curious to see if apps across-the-board will scale well for it. I fear some will have more trouble than others.
Still, most everything nailed it.
