i’ve built like 4 products in the last 18 months
none of them made money
none of them really “took off”
most of them barely got 10 users (including me, twice)
some highlights:
– spent 2 weeks building a chrome extension no one downloaded
– launched on product hunt at 3am. got 8 upvotes. 2 were mine
– got excited about “AI” and built something even GPT said was useless
– tried to build a SaaS for freelancers. forgot that I’m not a freelancer
– spent more time tweaking the landing page than talking to a single user
and yet… still building.
still opening Figma at 2am
still convincing myself this idea is different
still ignoring that my last 3 “game changers” all died quietly
anyway. if you’ve shipped a flop lately — same.
if you’re thinking of building something dumb — do it.
we learn. we cringe. we keep going.
shoutout to everyone building stuff no one asked for ..

Kind of in the same path. keep creating!
This resonates so much. The fact that you keep building despite the stats shows you have the maker instinct that can't be taught - most people give up after the first flop.
Keep it up!
@ethanlambeth Thanks a lot for the encouragement!
