M Furkan OZATA

Hello this is furkan

I am a mechanical engineer. I am a technical manager at a scaled engineering company. I like coding and managing projects. I started with one my pains.

I use iPhone and I have lots of notes from 2018 to now. One day I discovered that I have important informations in one of that notes. I dreamed that how it could be if one day this note tell me that โ€œIโ€™m here, do not forget me!โ€

I created Noteify for that reason. It sends notifications of notes to me with a smart spaced repetion technology. I get notified acc. to selection between 3 categories:
Urgent, Normal, Long-term

The period between 2 notification is always increasing by a factor (you did not hear this from me, the factor is 1.2 ๐Ÿ™ƒ) For example, you get notified 3 hours later after as a first notification then this period incrrases to 3*1.2 = 3.6 hours ~ 3 hrs 36min

This is an intro for me for PH, tomorrow is my first launch for Noteify. If you have feedbacks, I am here to listen carefully. Have good hunts!

That's actually a good idea, I also have many important notes which I usually forget are even there. Looking forward to use your product.

@vasudevsoni This is a global problem but I may need to redifine marketing strategy, I should not need to tell about product every time. It should tell about itself. By the way, you can reach out through appstore

@mfurkano16 That's a great way of thinking. A product that can tell about itself, is a well made product.

@vasudevsoni I should create a more self-telling product page, what do you think about the tagline? Noteify - Remember what matters

@vasudevsoni you can look at and hopefully give feedback about it here

@mfurkano16 The taglines looks punchy. I think improving the product page should do the trick.

Interesting. So it sounds like you're trying to use your long-term memory and surface it for your short-term memory. I'm curious about this use case because I have tons of notes starting back to 2011. How do you decide which notes to remind yourself of? I'm guessing a lot of notes from 2018-2019 aren't as relevant now.

@rajiv_ayyangar Thanks for your reply Ravij,

The quick spoiler is : You select what you would like to be notified.

For the MVP , I just let user decide what notes should be tracked. The user is notified if the tracking feature is open. For example, for long-term memory, let say user will be notified after 5 years later for a note. This provides a freedom for the user to forget about concerning old notes.

Maybe in the future, we will let AI to decide but of course privacy concerns are valid.

What have you thought about this? Do you have any feedback?
