Do you have a certain skill that you could monetize? Other than the one you use in your current job.

It can be anything but I suppose, that hobbies are more significant activities that could come to your mind first. For example, in my case, it was photography and sports (used to have it as a paid job). WBY?

I have a pretty extensive background in quantitative finance that I don't use much anymore. Which is to say — more data science than my current work.

Yes, I have it, but it a little bit difficult to monetize. My hobby is science, I'm doing my PhD right now and I'm in love with teaching young students! But if' you don't do it like your job, it's actually hard to gain money. Also I know Italian and I think that I'd like to find a couple of students and give private lessons!

@busmark_w_nika Aahha, that's true. Not Poly, but a little bit glot)). I'd like to teach lobbying and GR (my major) more than Italian. I think it's more interesting. What about you?

@boris_moris44 I know someone who's making close to 300k annually teaching korean! definitely possible to make a solid living out of teaching Italian Boris!

@busmark_w_nika Oh, it's not that I couldn't, but I already have multiple ways of monetizing skills so I really want to keep my hobbies just for fun - they are here to give me a break from working after all

@fscholz I do think web projects is a monetizable hobby! Just need to figure out how to sell it!

I love building Wordpress websites (as I did for out company www.hoggo.io) but I don't do it for a living. Also I really enjoy learning new stuff and I guess I could open a channel/newsletter and monetize that too haha
Absolutely, I've discovered that my knack for storytelling and content creation, which I initially developed as a hobby, can be incredibly valuable for businesses looking to enhance their brand's presence online. It's amazing how skills cultivated outside of our primary professions can open up new avenues for growth and revenue.

@busmark_w_nika No r drawing a way better than music as well ahah I would like also to make more art projects with AI cause i love it and i see a lot of opportunities for the future. Especially in the videomaking area

@suzaneandersoon Had the exact same thought! Love to do graphic design for fun, and I grew up drawing all day (anime, dinosaurs, amongst many other things). I also did all the UI/design for Smartrazor which I launched today! Would appreciate your feedback Suzane!

I do some painting on weekends but I mostly gift them to my friends or paint on ikea boxes.. I've thought about monetizing my hobby through streaming or YT but I find the setup too tedious

If I had to bank on one skill to monetize outside of my current job it would probably be design! I'm not great at it, but I think if I spent 3 months working on my craft I could get to a workable point w freelancing! Rate my design for https://www.producthunt.com/post... assets btw!
