One of those “why doesn’t this exist already” product ideas that is well executed. Real nice work!! FAANG interviews are black boxes and I hope this will help open them up.

***You can use the discount code PHJUNE2020 to get $30 off your first interview—just buy your first interview no later than June 10th*** I started interviewing.io 5 years ago. After working as both an engineer and a recruiter, my frustration with how inefficient and unfair hiring had reached a boiling point. What made me especially angry was that despite mounting evidence that resumes are poor predictors of aptitude, employers were obsessed with where people had gone to school and worked previously. In my mind, any great engineer, regardless of how they look on paper, should have the opportunity to get their foot in the door wherever they choose. So, we set out to build a better system, and we did! Over the past 5 years, we've helped thousands of engineers prepare for interviews and get great jobs. Despite that for our entire, multi-year existence, we’ve been in beta. Over the past year or so, this increasingly inaccurately named “beta” became kind of a smoke screen. Our product was stable and we had plenty of interviewers, but we could only serve the engineers whom we had a shot at placing, mainly those had 4 or more years of experience—sadly, despite our best efforts, employers across the board were not willing to pay for junior hires. Then, COVID-19 happened, hiring dried up. In the face of either shutting down the company, unable to provide any practice at all, or to begin to charge for premium practice interviews, we made the choice to launch a premium, paid tier (though we still have a free one too). But the good news is that: - We’re open to all engineers, regardless of seniority level - We have interviewers from Google, Facebook, Amazon, Microsoft, Uber, and many others - No more limits on how many practice interviews you can do in either tier

Oh, and if you wanna see what it's like to get interviewed on the platform (or just watch other people practice), check out our YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/...

How does this service compare to Pramp, Gainlo, Refdash and PracticeCodingInterview.com ?
Aline Lerner
@sashao Pramp is all peer interviews. We have peer interviews as well, but we don't make you be the interviewer unless you want to be. We ALSO have premium interviews with professional interviewers from top companies. Gainlo and PracticeCodingInterviews are 1) more expensive (last I checked) and 2) don't fast-track you for jobs.

as a long time interviewer on the platform, I'm really excited to see this launched!!!

I've been an interviewer on IIO for almost 3 years and it's one of my favorite platforms. I have a ton of respect for Aline and her crew, and the improvements they've made to level the playing field with anonymity in the interviews and a great feedback system. One thing Aline didn't point out above are the anlytical blog posts they've written on interview statistics, ie does which school you go to really matter when it comes to an interview.

This is really awesome! I was a beta user and even got my first internship at Silicon Valley here. Highly recommend for people who want to work at FAANG.
