Idol Concerts — Helping sell out shows with no upfront commitment

A new crowdsourced model for concerts. We're working with rapper A Boogie's label for a concert at UC Berkeley. Instead of fronting the cost for booking talent/venues, we allow audience members to reserve tickets for free, and only pay if the threshold is met.

Very cool idea! How does it work with the venue tho? I'd imagine you still have to book the venue in order to reserve the tickets or how does it work? Congrats on the launch. 🙌🏻 Go Bears!! 💪

@itsbrex Great question! We actually only announce date & venue if the students meet the threshold. Before then, we set up verbal agreements with local venues to gauge general availability. The moment the threshold is met, we pay a nearby venue to lock-in a date and announce it to the students. Go Bears!!

We believe this model has the potential to disrupt the traditional concert industry and make live events more accessible for both organizers and attendees. Crowdsourcing concerts at universities allows students to bring artists they really want to their campus, without the hassle of upfront bookings and payments. We would love the opportunity to share more about our company and this innovative concept with you.
