Hi all,

We’re excited to launch Games for Google Meetings by GUUL.

GUUL is a gamified engagement solution that helps teams and communities connect through social games, interactive events, and playful competition. Teams on Slack and Microsoft Teams already love it.

After receiving consistent feedback and requests, we’re now bringing GUUL to the Google ecosystem, starting with Google Meet. You can now add GUUL as an add-on and start playing games directly in your meetings.

With this launch, you can play multiplayer games like Scrabble, Boggle, Chess, and more directly inside Google Meet. Whether you’re looking to break the ice, add energy to a team call, or just have a bit of fun, GUUL makes meetings more interactive and engaging.

All games are designed to be lightweight and collaborative in nature. No separate tabs or tools needed. Just launch the add-on and start playing with everyone in the call.

How to get started

  1. Start or join your Google Meet meeting.

  2. Click the “9-dot” (Meeting Tools) icon in the bottom-right corner.

  3. Click “+” (Get add-ons) and search for GUUL.

  4. Install the add-on and sign in with your Google account.

  5. Open GUUL from the right-hand panel, select a game, and customize it as needed.

  6. Other participants can join to play or watch.

  7. When everyone’s ready, click “Ready” and start playing!

Launching soon!

Congrats on the launch! 🎈 Integrating games into Google Meet is such a creative way to boost engagement. How does GUUL ensure that the games don't disrupt the flow of important meetings? It would be interesting to know if there are any settings to balance fun and productivity.

Ceren Ersöz

@jaredl Thank you so much! That’s a great question. 🍀 If games are added to meetings in a structured way, they won’t disrupt the flow at all. In fact, they can be used in many different formats, not just during important work meetings.

For example, like we do in our own team, you can host a Friday Happy Hour gaming session to wrap up the week in a fun way. Or, when a new teammate joins, you can organize a short welcome session with a few games to help everyone connect.

So instead of mixing games into high-focus meetings, you can create separate moments for interaction and make them part of your team culture. 💙

And if you’d like more control, the Gamespace (app.guul.games) offers admin features where you can set available games, manage time limits, and tailor the experience to your team’s needs.

Claudio Fanetti

Do you offer white label branding options for enterprise clients?

Ceren Ersöz

@claudio_fanetti Yes, white-label options are available for enterprise teams! ⭐

Gerardo Zepeda Diaz

I love the integration with Slack and Teams. Do you also provide analytics to track engagement over time so team leads can monitor the cultural health of their teams?

Ceren Ersöz

@gerardo_zepeda_diaz Yes, we do! ☘️ GUUL includes an Analytics Dashboard where team leads can track engagement over time including games played, active users, total game time, and overall engagement. It’s a helpful way to monitor interaction patterns and get a sense of team energy, especially for remote or hybrid setups. Let me know if you have any specific metrics in mind, we’re always open to adding more! 🌟

Can Guul effectively scale for larger organizations with over 1,000 employees spread across different time zones?

Ceren Ersöz

@jack_rhodes2 Yes, GUUL is built to scale for large organizations. It works well across time zones with flexible setup, async play options, and dedicated spaces for different teams. Happy to share more if you’d like! ☘️

Itai Bracha

Congrats on the launch!
Integrating games into Google Meet is such a creative way to connect :)

Ceren Ersöz

@itai_bra Thank you! So glad you liked the idea 🦋 We’re really excited about making meetings a little more fun and connected. ✨

Allen Shaw

Some employees might feel a bit shy about public leaderboards does Guul have options for opting out of competitive features while still being able to participate?

Ceren Ersöz

@allen_shaw1 That’s such a good point! We don’t have an opt-out for leaderboards at the moment, but it’s a really thoughtful idea. Definitely something we’d love to explore. Thanks for bringing it up! 😊

Kanstansin Ivashchanka

How does Guul work for asynchronous teams that are in vastly different time zones? Are there any automations in place to ensure fair play and equal visibility?

Ceren Ersöz

@kanstansin_ivashchanka Great question! GUUL works well for async teams with games like daily puzzles and predictors that don’t require everyone to be online at the same time. We also keep things fair with shared leaderboards and activity logs, so everyone stays in the loop. And we’re always working on making it even smoother for distributed teams! 🌼

Yoana Angelica

Building a remote culture can be quite a challenge how do you manage to keep things fun and productive without bombarding your teams with notifications?

Ceren Ersöz

@yoana_angelica Totally get that! Building culture without overwhelming people is tricky. GUUL keeps things light and flexible, with no spammy notifications. Teams can join in when it makes sense, and admins have control over when games are shared. Just fun, without the noise! 🌸

Alice Patterson

What measures do you have in place to stop people from gaming the XP system or engaging falsely especially when XP is linked to recognition or rewards?

Huy Trần

Wish you luck on the launch!

Looks like you’re focusing on building games across platforms.

Good luck to the team!

Ekin Beyhangil

I still remember the Scrabble match we played in Teams during onboarding—didn’t win, but definitely scored big on bonding! 😄 Now getting to play again during our Meet was the perfect warm-up. Such a creative way to blend fun with team spirit. Love 🙌

Erliza. P

Multiplayer games for remote teams? Love it! How does Guul handle latency for real-time trivia across global teams? And for async games – what’s the max player count per session? (My 500-person org would break most platforms! 😅)
