Hello Product Hunt! WE LOVE FOOD TRUCKS! However, we always found it difficult to find when our favorite trucks were open and operating! Additionally, we wanted to know what food items were available for trucks we hadn't visited before. So, at that moment, Grub Trucks was born! With Grub Trucks, we aimed to solve three problems, 1. Food truck discovery (knowing when your favorite trucks are available and finding new trucks in the area) 2. Digitizing food truck menus (being able to access the current menu increases the likelihood of diversifying food palates) 3. Small business support (after speaking with a few owners, we aim to help increase their sales by allowing users to discover their trucks and drive (pun intended) business sales up!). Grub trucks is built completely in Swift and Swift UI. It uses app clips and deep links between the website and the app. It also uses Push notifications to inform users of a truck location. DocC is used for documentation. It uses Swift Package Manager using third party and custom packages Subscribing food trucks can add their truck photo and description, menus, including pictures and prices, and social media links. They can allow users to find their location with the push of a button. Owners will be able to put in their future schedules in a future release. For food truck customers, the app is completely free. They are able to set up a profile to favorite trucks to receive push notifications. They are also able to comment on the food and service they receive. All trucks in the app are searchable by name and cuisine types and every subscribing truck owner will have their truck profile registered as an app clip. Please enjoy!
