Facebook and Amazon are not missing from the AI action. Facebook has been investing heavily in AI for several years and has established one of the most prominent AI research organizations in the world, Facebook AI Research (FAIR) (https://ai.facebook.com/). Facebook has also integrated AI into many of its products, including facial recognition (a.g. Instagram filters), personalized advertising, and content moderation. Amazon is also a major player in AI, particularly in the areas of natural language processing, computer vision, and robotics. The company's AI products and services include Amazon Web Services (AWS), which offers a range of machine learning tools, as well as products like Amazon Alexa, which use natural language processing to enable voice-based interactions.

Meta launched LLaMA, its language model. While Amazon I don't know why it chose not to release anything about it, but I think it is enough for them to stand by and watch others wage this war to the death, in any case with AWS they are already making big money. Both have been using AI for years, Meta in social, while Amazon offers machine learning and other services.

As far as I know, Meta is more Focusing on Augmented and Virtual Reality Technolohgy.

I think they don't care to share. Facebook has LLaMa and AWS has sagemaker. Sagemaker and Rekognition have both been around forever.

Both companies may be focused on building AI technologies that are specific to their own platforms and services, rather than investing in general-purpose AI technologies.
