2 years back in June 2022 we started observing this platform and I built the community from someone else's account.
I start with building the community 1 month before the launch (December 2022). Yeah, we weren't registered for almost 6 months (research).
But reaching out to people via DMs or so... I didn't do that.
In November 2022, I created my account. A month after that, I launched...
Results don't matter now, but I was quite wrong with that...
π Community is something you should build long-term = earning trust.
π£ Speaking about your PH campaign to the herd of people is another thing = awareness. (like posting on your social media)
πββοΈ Speaking to individuals is also something different = asking for participation. (DMs)
When do you usually start with the DMs part (speaking to individuals)?
Personally, I would start at least 1 week before with DMs because when you DM the same day or day before the launch, that person may not be available on LI or so.

I prefer building long-term relationships via DMs but it has its limitations.
