What tools do you use to track and improve developer productivity in startups?

We’re a small development team at a startup, and we must stay efficient. Are there any tools or methods you recommend to track productivity or make sure we’re working effectively as a team?

Hey there! I'm in marketing and I use Asana exclusively for project management, even when communicating with my development teammates, who do all their dev work in GitHub. A few years ago, our company built a solid integration between Asana and GitHub so everything gets properly tracked between the tools. If someone submits code for review in GitHub, a corresponding Asana task is created and moved into the appropriate columns automatically. When the code is approved and merged in, the Asana task is automatically marked complete and anyone following the task in Asana is notified (like when I am waiting on a feature request to be built!) It's pretty cool. Long story short, you just need to find the tools that work best for YOUR team and processes, and ensure they either natively integrate or you figure out ways to automate their communication to avoid delays and miscommunications between teammates. Hope this helps!
