What's your approach to user segmentation and setting up marketing sequences?
I want to create more personalized marketing sequences based on user behavior. What tools have you found effective for segmentation and automation?

We segment users based on key actions and traits using Mixpanel. Then I write a bunch of email sequences in Intercom for each segment. It's a ton of upfront work but pays off big time in higher engagement and conversions. I'd love to find a way to automate more of it with AI though if anyone has tips!

I built an in house tools with api from posthog + claude doing what you have just described, it works like charm (in terms of functionality of what I wanted to achieve), but I also don't believe that level of personalization matters that much when you don't yet have a lot of active users! may open source it someday though!

I'm using Metabase + Posthog for user segmentation and marketing automation. Works pretty well so far, but agreed that personalization doesn't matter as much early on. Focus on nailing your core value prop first!
