Metabase is great for joining multiple sources of data and creating custom dashboards. We use it for viewing data from our own database + Google Analytics + other platforms like Firebase Crashlytics / Messaging, etc. Plus it's free :)

Well I think that depends on the kind of project we are working on. And I mostly am a fan of Tableau, and love creating visualisations and I also teach tableau to a few lot.
