What interesting products have you found in the "not-featured" section?
The Product Hunt team has to face many new launches every day and try to test products on their own which is very time-demanding. 🙈
Understandably, not every product gets into the "Featured section".
(What is/is not featured was also mentioned by @gabe in one of his posts.)
Anyway, there are still good products even in the "Not-featured section".
That's why we (me, @konrad_sx @priyanka27 & @julia_zakharova2 ) created the Reddit group Product Hunt Gems where you can post not-featured products you find valuable.

@busmark_w_nika Guess what? I was without any reason shadow banned from Product hunt for my launch on Monday. You spent days and hours thinking that PH will give you some significant mileage for your product validation and all I end up with is - DISAPPOINTMENT!

You still can launch on other platforms but from my experience, buildinpublic approach on Twitter worked quite well when it comes to getting attention.

@busmark_w_nika @thepmfguy We should consider that about 150-200 products are launched every day, so selecting the best ones is a very difficult task.
I've just looked at you Monday launch and look really good to me so far, so we'll probably post in on the PH Gems Reddit community and include it in our newsletter :)

Nice idea, congrats Nika and team for building a community for not featured products.
Small Suggestion: You can allow good services, productized services, Info products, courses, directories, etc. other than SaaS. As PH would never feature those as per their guidelines but if they are good you can give them the chance to promote in the subredddit.

I think there should be another platform for services, info products etc. (don't know if there is already).
I do not intend to allow these things on our community because there are many really good products that do fit the featuring guidelines here but still don't get featured, and I want to focus on those.

@gamifykaran @konrad_sx yeah, that's why the Reddit community is open also to others who want to post. We expect that people will be more interactive there :)
@konrad_sx yeah, there are 100+ products launched everyday but only 10 get the chance to get featured. So keeping it to products only make sense.

Which products end up in the 'not recommended' section? Is there a specific criteria for that?
Or should we focus less on products being 'not recommended' and instead just believe that the 'recommended' ones are really good? However, if a product doesn't appear in the 'recommended' section, even if it's a good product, it’ll be hard to catch people's attention
