What do you think are the Pros and Cons of Technology?
Some scientists refer to the advancement of technology as a disaster, while some refer to it as a blessing. We consume technology almost at every breath. Some love it, and some are still trying to figure out a way to follow a minimalistic approach and get the job done.
What are your thoughts on where we are heading with this technology phase?

Technology helps us save time. great opportunity for learning
If talk about cons, one of the biggest ones is that it is addicting. Gaming, surfing, movie streaming. people are so much obsessed with these activities that it is becoming unhealthy
The pro is technology allows us to do things we previously could not.
The con is we (sometimes) allow technology to control us rather that us controlling technology.
Technology is the application of knowledge to reach practical goals in a specifiable and reproducible way.
Pros :-
- Productivity increases
- Saves Time
- Communication becomes easy
- Can help in reaching more clients
- Financial transactions are easier and more secure
- AI
Cons :-
- Can be bad for the environment
- Automation can reduce human requirement in jobs
- Students can lose focus (distraction from studies)
- Social Disconnect
- Data security and privacy problems
Everything has their own pros and cons, technology can make you a tech addict so you'll never want to do anything by your own; at the same time it can also help you make your life easy and save your time by managing things in lesser time.
Technology has made the evolution of human species possible and is responsible for making us what we are today. It seems impossible to imagine that humankind was able to reach the moon in just 70 years after the invention of the first aircraft.
While there are countless examples of the benefits of technology in fields like Medical Science, Communication etc. one cannot ignore the fact that technology has made humans be less connected to nature. Technology is like a tool which can be used for both constructive and destructive reasons. It comes down to our choice of how we use it and to what extent we use it.
Technology runs the world and at this point, technological advances in any field are inevitable. Imagining a world without technology would be virtually impossible at this state in time because of how it surrounds us and how we rely so heavily on it in our day-to-day life.
However on the other hand, since technology makes information so readily available, it makes people more prone to procrastination. Although it may seem favorable, when that reliability diminishes it becomes a problem.
Pros: Automation controls the schedules and production lines without human interference. The program can reduce cost and optimize the schedule to reduce defects and inefficiencies, creating better quality products.
Cons: People are losing job, spending insane amount of money on the set up and environmental concerns have taken a back seat.
Technology has made our life very easy.
But also, very addictive & can be a Distraction.
Pros: Convenience ! Ease of Use !
Cons: Over dependence and everything from the movie Terminator
@tom_pathadan Yess! Whatever environment we are exposing ourselves into is something that we are deciding to put forth. The only climax is to actually experience the impact.
Technology is created for a reason to fulfill the required needs of society or individual people. It also helps and makes our daily routine at least a bit more bearable. Because of those reasons, we become dependent on inventions in technology which makes us more controllable and predictable. 🧌

Cons: Detached from the nature, People cannot survive without technology
@yashthakker Yes. Everyone is now expected to work around technology, that creates a situation where older people get frustrated and find ways to do things just for the sake of it and millennials are moving quite ahead of time.
I believe that technology is like a double edged sword, if you use it appropriately then a lot of benefits can be availed. But if misused then it can be equally terrible.
For example, technology can be used for finding better ways to treat deadly diseases also, and at the same time it can also be used for developing weapons of mass destruction. So it all depends upon how we utilize the technological advancements.
