I think it depends a lot on your personality, in particular:
• How do you like to think? Alone or through conversation?
• How do you recover from shitty moments? Alone, or as a team?
The hardest thing about solo founding is going through the lows (insecurity, rejection, failure) alone, and often having to project positivity to everyone while feeling like shit on the inside.

I have often encountered the problem of co-founder reliability and know very well what it is. The main disadvantages I see are that finding a reliable co-founder with whom you will work well is VERY difficult, and secondly, a co-founder can always betray you.
