make sure your product is polished and ready to launch - first impressions count! and don't neglect the importance of engaging with the Product Hunt community and responding to comments and feedback.

@maxwellcdavis literally so true - I was talking to a friend when I was launching and she said a lot of people catch up in the last hour bc of this. Soo glad that PH is taking measures to stop things like this.

Not spreading out your outreach throughout the day. Try to go in batches so you have some channels to use towards the end of the day.
