What are best payment gateways for global sales?

by

If you're a SaaS, digital product, agency or freelancer what payment gateways do you use to handle local methods, taxes and subscriptions?

PayPal charges me 5% per transaction and their support is unwilling to reduce it to 3% for me while I know they do lower the transaction fee for certain accounts.

Thinking to switch to either of the following:

What do you recommend for cross-border payments? Comment which platform works the best for you :)

Stripe is the de facto. You get so much with it and the fees are "normal".

Paddle seems like a competitor but the trick is that you are not the merchant of record if you use Paddle. This has a ton of implications for your business and owning your revenue stream that would be really hard for me to ever get past.

Vote for Stripe. Simple, transparent, easy to integrate.

You can’t go wrong with Stripe. Gumroad is great too but their fees are borderline unconvincing.

@siddharthpereiras agree with this one, stripe is solid! it integrate in any workflow, have multiple sdk and library. I setup a main stripe and a fallback with lemon squeezy just in case when I can.

@siddharthpereiras  @ricoboost Absolutely agree, very flexible in integration and has awesome SDK for whatever you may need!

Stripe absolutely the best, I made multiple integrations and migrations to Stripe and everything was nice and straightforward. Wise is also good, however they have more issues for various locations.

  • I definitely recommend Stripe from an ease of integration perspective. However, killer fees.

  • Wise is also very good

  • Razorpay big NO for me. Didnt enjoy the experience.

It all depends as well on how technical you are.

But long story short, global Payments? => Crypto.
