I think depending on the startup stage can help and depending on the type of help, strategy or execution.
I see some advisors be really general and not specific and that is always a problem. They might know the idea of how things must do but not in details or the execution and details. However, if they have proven experience working with the same type of startups like B2B and SaaS, for sure they can help by sharing their experience and knowledge.
Some VCs have their own advisors and maybe you can find someone on Growth Mentor.
