The Quiet Pain of Building Alone — But Why I Still Love It
Building something alone sounds exciting at first.
You’re free. No boss. No rules. No pressure.
But over time… it gets quiet. A little too quiet.
I manage an office during the day — lots of people, noise, work.
But when I come home, I sit alone and build my app.
Just me and my laptop. There’s no team.
No one to ask, “Hey, does this look good?”
No one to say, “Nice job.”
Sometimes, I work all night and still feel like I haven’t done enough.
Other days, I just stare at the screen, not knowing where to start.
And honestly? That can be really hard.
But here’s the thing — I still love it.
Because when something finally works… when a new feature is done… when even one person uses what I made — it feels amazing.
It reminds me why I started.
Every small win is mine.
Not for followers. Not for fame. Just for me.
To anyone else building alone — I get it.
It’s not always fun. It’s not always fast.
But it’s worth it.

The hardest part of working solo was the relentless workload - I had zero time for myself. Eventually, I noticed my social skills declining and my personality suffering as a result.
That's why I'm building a service specifically for independent workers facing this same challenge. 🚀
