@ashwin_madhavan, undoubtedly yes! Companies nowadays extensively use ML for personalization which has in fact proven to be a performance booster. ML is helping businesses to directly target their audience through tailor-made marketing tactics.

Yes! I think so. We've developed an ML process over the last few years, and we've had our hiccups. The biggest take-away is that it needs to be explainable for user adoption. For example, we're effectively predicting employee retention, but this is pointless if the organization doesn't understand why the employees are turning over. Biggest lesson - think about how to communicate your ML to an end-user. It's so much harder than building highly accurate models, trust me ;) Interested in more of what I've learned, let me know! I'll share some articles I've written that touch on this question.

@ashwin_madhavan I think this is the most relevant. A few questions to make sure you're on the right path when developing for non-ML people. I think there's a happy balance between building something with high-impact and building something that's easy for someone to understand. The greater the understanding, the easier to adopt. But, this also means that you're sacrificing performance for understandability. I _think_ you can begin to lower the explainability standards to build better performing ML over time after the tech is being adopted. Hope you enjoy! I love talking about this stuff, so let me know if you have any other questions! https://medium.com/towards-data-...

Yes, it can help to use raw data effectively and refine future decisions based on past experiences.
